Subject: Have Your Own Bungie Web Page Idea

There are services out there where you can pay a small amount for a simple web site. Some free. I was wondering what if Bungie started doing the same thing where you could have your own site attached to your account? It could be an extension for a private group or anything but within the rules.

Example url: www.bungie.net/sub-sites/whatever-name-you-want/
or stosh-hates-toast.bungie.net

What do you guys think? Good or bad idea?

It's not a bad idea, but I don't see the point. Bungie.net doesn't seem like that kind of site.

Wouldn't it just serve the same purpose as the homepage link currently does?

Fight your way out; only scrubs and mashers jump out of the corner

Bungie.net already sort of does this with the concept of forum groups, which is about as far as I think it should go.

Realistically, Bungie hosting arbitrary sites makes no sense given their core competency: telling compelling stories through video games.

I mean, would it really aid Bungie or give them any credibility if "ilovecats.bungie.net" existed?

Sometimes starting back from square one does good...

And suddenly, Bungie.net is the new geocities.

Hey I am a big Bungie fan ever since I played Halo 2. I love the series, I love Bungie. I have made a few Bungie logos in my metal shop.

Check out my Soundcloud account to hear some of my music.
Here's my twitter, in the off-chance you want that too.

Bye.

www.bungie.net/sub-sites/Achronos links to me now. If I'm allowed any name I want, nothing will stop me from impersonating others. Unless the URL is already taken.

I'm sure you can see how that could cause confusion. It would probably work a bit better if you were restricted to just your username. Like Bungie.net/users/defnop552.

:-)
