INTRO:
Master Chief sped along the supply transport beam to the Forerunner ship. The prophet of Truth was boarding tht ship so that meant the Chief was to follow. Without warning the power supply failed. Chief was sent flying through the air toward the ever quickly closing doors on the Forerunner ship. He landed with a thud as the doors slid shut behind him.
"As soon as I find Truth I'll be back to-"Chief tried to tell Cortona.
"Don't make a girl a promise that you know you can't keep." She replied. And with that the engines roared to life and the forerunner ship blasted out of the holy Covenant city.

The space above Earth was a battle field. The remains of ships, both human and covenant, floated about making manuvering all but impossible. Suddendly a giant triangular .shaped ship floated into the battlefield out of slipspace, the same ship the Chief was on.
"Unidentified ship, unknown classifaction." Chief heard someone say over his com.
"It is'nt one of ours, take it down" a gruff voice said.
Thinking quickly Chief announced "This is Spartan 117, can anyone hear me?" After a brief pause someone replied, "Master Chief is that you? Wanna' explain to me wha't you're doing on that ship?
"Sir," Chief said, "finishing this fight."
CHAPTER 1:
"Well you're not going to do much good on that ship are you." the voice challenged.
"You let me worry about that sir" Chief rebuted. After that Chief stood up and took in his surroundings. he was in a large room filled with Covenant weaponary. A shiver ran down his spine as he realised that this was an invasion. He quickened his stride to find a way out. He came upon a grav lift near the back of the room. Being accusted to them through his travels he jumped right in. After a few seconds Chief was deposted in a room with phantoms. Hundreds of Covenant were loading the ships with weapons and provisions. Chief saw a small opening on the far side of the hangar. It was the exit for the phantoms. It was only big enough for one to go through at a time. The Chief would simply wait for the rest of them to leave before ambushing the last one's pilot and crew. As the ships took off he found a needler and prepared himself. Finally he crept forward towards the first passenger, an Elite, walikng lazily to ship. Chief cracked him in the back of the head and grabbed the body and hid it before it hit the ground. He was approaching another Elite when a pack of Grunts rounded the corner. The one in the lead yelped and the Chief's victim turned around, knees bent.
"By the rings!" the Elite exclaimed as he brought his plasma pistol up. The Chief was too fast for him. He grabbed the elites arm and slammed it against its side. With his other hand he brought the needler to the elites gut and pulled the trigger. 16 needles found their mark. The elite screamed in agony as the needles tore through his shields and embeded themselves in his skin. Chief threw him at the pack of grunts now charging. They landed in a heap as the needles exploded, setting off the elites gernades as well. Feeling confident the Chief ran into the phantom. It was empty save the pilots. He snuck up and finished him like the first, a crack to the head. The other turned only to find a face full of needles as his reward. He threw the bodies out and headed to the pilot's seat. After some trial and error the ship finally raored to life. Chief gabbed the flight yok and pulled forward. the ship flew forward at an unpredicted speed and nailed some hunters who heard the commotion. Smiling the Chief turned, and more carefully this time, edged the ship out into space.
He opened his com link and said, "Sir, we no longer have a problem with me being on that ship, as long as you don't shoot me out of the sky."
"Well", the familar voice gruffed, " you let me worry about that."
