There are groups out there mass pming members of the Halo 3 Forum telling them to join there group to get your ideas put into Halo 3. I'm not saying fan-ideas in the game would be a bad thing--for the most part. But due to legal reasons bungie does not accept direct fan-ideas UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. I know alot of the new members of bungie do not understand this and have been tricked into joining these groups. So after received a bunch of these advertisements myself I would like to clarify for everyone that this is the case. Also here is a forum post by the moderator GameJunkieJim to back up what I have said:

He may be a little off handed, but he's correct.
You do not own this specific forum space, and cannot take ownership of anyones ideas because they post here. It's illegal, and your terms of use are pretty much worthless. First off, it's not an internationally binding contract.
Secondly, under US copyright law, an item is considered protected under copyright from the moment it's fixed into a medium. If they post their idea here afterwards especially, it requires explicit written permission for anyone to obtain those rights.
Third, you cannot claim for plagiarism. The object, even if it originates on this forum, does not belong to you for the reasons stated above, if it were to work like that, even then you would not be privy to any rights, because the site is hosted on a Bungie Server. Your document implies legal action, and in that case, the name Popular Fusion and all related items belong to Bungie Studios. In other words, the document is worth nothing.
The group has a lot of members, you shouldn't mislead them into thinking you're doing anything official here. Everyone, your ideas are your own. [name removed] cannot take them. But you don't have much to worry about. Bungie does not accept direct ideas from fans. Again, it's a legal issue.
[name removed], I think you should go about taking down that phony 'contract' soon, it's not something I think Bungie Brass would like to see on their group.Specific names and groups have been removed for privacy.
Direct fan ideas is suppose to be a bunch of people in a bungie.net group getting together to compiling a list of ideas and sending them to bungie. This is what I'm talking about for thoughs of you that are confused.
