Subject: Discussion of Halo Lore in the form of several questions

There just aren't enough moments in the day to rectify the wrongs of the past.

Since the end of Halo 3, The Covenant has pretty much collapsed and after the Prophet was killed, peace was finally had. But was there peace with all the races in The Covenant cause it never really led onto that much, it just said peace with the Elites?

Since The Flood are able to take over organisms via a central nervous system, the 'Hunters' or Lek'golos are the only species that are immune to this correct? Because the worms communicate when bunched together like a sort of Gravemind enabling them to communicate via hormonal and electrical means, they could easily fight back Flood forms correct?

Last question, when you saw Engineers in ODST, they were relatively new to the games since only Halo Wars up to that point made references to them(that i know of, i don't read any of the books). Since they have the unique ability of being able to completely regenerate the mass of something with only 10% of its total, why weren't they used often? If someone got blown apart, if you could find an arm and a leg, they could completely rebuild someone with those and some raw materials.

We should know better, because we are better.

1. Not really peace. More like Cold War. Hood and Arby agreeded to a cease fire and peace, but ONI is supplying arms to Elite dissendents in the hope they overthrow the Arbiter. The other species aren't really touched on.

2. Correct. Hunters can not be infected and would be good for fighting the Flood. However, they can still be killed easilly by the Flood.

3. Engineers could not rebuild a person from an arm or leg. Elites wouldn't let them tend their injuries because they view doctors as dishonourable and Brutes use them as suicide bombers. They could be used as doctors, however.

1. Just peace was had between the Elites and humans untill Traviss said "-blam!- that!" and now it seems we are going to war with them again.

2.Hunters should be immune since they don't have enough biomass for the flood to use.

3.The first Engineer was seen in 2525 and helped the humans, they have seen heard about many times through the books.

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

:)
The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

3. Engineers are amazing at repairing almost any damage in almost any piece of technology. They are also great as doctors, but they can't rebuild something to how it was with just 10% of it's original mass. It could pull in other resources, but somethings just can't be fixed, as someone mentioned above a leg or arm.

1. Really? ONIs' doing that? Thats some bull-blam!- if i've ever seen it. What does overthrowing The Arbiter accomplish if we have a ceasefire with him?

2. If its difficult for an average Spartan to kill one without explosive weaponry, wouldn't The Flood have a much harder time overwhelming two Hunters that have potential support?

3. If Engineers can't do that, then the Bestiary in Waypoint either lied to me, or i didnt understand the reconstruction process very well. Since Engineers are fairly peaceful, would Humanity utilizing them be terrible?

1.ONI is trying to start an Elite civil war and think ONI because Elites are so damn retarded that they won't find out humans gave them weapons, but they they do its cool because it seems that about 27 years of war the UNSC is 15 more powerful then they were at the start of the war.

2.The flood would just flood the hunters and also the hunters I believe got their armor and weapons from the Covvie.

3.Engineers can build other engineers from pretty much anything, No the UNSC cannot use them since it seem EVERY SINGLE ONE up and left without anyone knowing till it was too late.

+1 for you good sir.

I'm not going to lie, looking at Elites and where they stand in the Halo lore, they seem very thick headed. After they were lied to and forced to nearly exterminate and entire race, that race then offers to be friendly with them.

From what I can tell, the only thing keeping the Elites from starting another is the Arbiter and idiots at ONI are trying to over throw him. May I ask what will they accomplish by starting a civil war?
