"What are we holding on to, Sam?"
"That there's some good in this world, and it's worth fighting for."

First off, obvious troll.
But I'll answer you anyway. Most people enjoy Halo 3's multiplayer for a couple of different reasons: If you are a competitive gamer, Halo 3 offers some of the best competitive shooter gameplay out there. The ranking sysem is probably the best I've seen for a shooter, and the gameplay is designed for competition. The fun in outhinking someone else never goes away, which is why competing against others is still popular. The gameplay is deep enough to offer fresh competitive play for hundreds and hundreds of hours.
If you're not competitive, then you probably still enjoy Social playlists such as Rumble pit (which has Infection) or Action Sack (which is a combination of the dumbest modes I've ever played, but some people seem to find them fun). You'll also probably enjoy the massive amount of potential contained within Forge. Then there are custom games. They can either be competitive or silly, and they're equally fun either way. Use them in conjunction with Forge, and you've got a lot of possibilities out there. Then, of course, there's theater mode.
All of that said, Halo 3 may just not be for you. Some people dislike games that many people consider to be good; that's fine. However, don't expect everyone else to share your opinion just because you say it loudly.
Thank you for a decent post. Apart from your trolling accusation. Just because I don't follow the crowd oesn't make me a troll.
No, but showing up in a forum dedicated to a certain game and then purposefully phrasing your questions in an angry and insulting fashion that bashes said game usually makes you a troll that's just looking for angry responses.
