That is the original version of the routine. It was designed for the actors in the movie 300 to get "ripped" fast.

That probably would be a better split than doing Chest and back on the same day. What would your suggestions for exercises for those days then?
Posted by: oaklandp8ntbalr
It doesn't matter that the 300 actors supposed did it, it's a terrible routine and you will only ruin your back attempting it. The fact that it's featured in Men's Health should be an indicator of just how terrible it is

I have a question.
How do i lose weight WITHOUT gaining muscle?
I'm starting the transition to the female gender in the coming years, and I want to look thin and not gain any muscle.
I'm in the gym for around 60 minutes, and I'm burning 700 calories at 60 minutes, I don't know if that's good But I want to flatten my stomach aswell and gain as smallest amount of muscle as possible, Thank you.

Eat less, move more. Do it before you start the estrogen or it becomes harder

I have a question.
How do i lose weight WITHOUT gaining muscle?

(I'm assuming fat loss)

1) The average person gets 2000 calories a day. Cut your diet by 500 calories and only intake 1500 calories. Only rules are no junk food, no fatty food, no fast food, no soda.
2) Cardio. Running, swimming, biking, dancing, whatever. Look into HIIT, or High Intensity Interval Training

I'm certainly not an expert but I believe you mess with your hormones in the months leading up to the procedures. You may want to talk a professional dietician since this might complicate things.

This. Shoot for endurance rather than strength in most that you do. Talk to a doctor or dietician as well since they may be able to advice things to try or stay away from in the upcoming months.

It's hard if you don't have any self-discipline or work ethic.

It's hard if you don't have any self-discipline or work ethic.
Why do you jump through all these radical conclusions so quickly Oakland? More properly you should have said "It's hard if you don't have enough self-discipline or work ethic," because to say it falls to this one category alone is ignorant. Many things can cause difficulty doing so especially with an entire food category known to cause chemical imbalances that are the backbone of addictions to your body.

To say to somebody to just straight up quit and if they don't they are undisciplined is stupid. To say to that same person that work ethic is involved with the self-disciplinary action of holding back the urge to eat is even worse.

That may come over as extremely condescending to him or anyone else that false in the same category.

That is something you should talk to a rehab specialist about. I would not attempt to lift until you get an OK from a licensed medical professional.

Definitely play it safe. You do not want to take any chances whatsoever with your back. Just rest and take it easy.

Calm down. You can not tell me you have never had a little junk food here or there. You are lying if you say you haven't.

I have self discipline. I'm able to enjoy a little junk food sometimes, its not bad. I like it how you jump to conclusions that I don't have a work ethic or self discipline. Lol

Oakland is definitely right here, especially before you start any physical therapy. When I messed up my knee even though they had me work it through physical therapy I wasn't allowed to push heavy anything with that knee for a year afterwards.
