You can't walk outside and run around the block? The only good excuse is that you live in a sketchy neighborhood

I hate running. walking, sure I enjoy that but running? no.

If you keep running you will get better at it and find it more enjoyable

Go to a park

Say hi to some people on your way

Pat a dog

See the birds

I guess I could use some running in some way, will make my heavy ass boots even easier to wear. Still though, any other suggestions? I don't just want to keep myself at bay from being fat. I guess I could use some muscle. Essentially I prefer being a little toned than fat so yeah. Any tips? No gym and no shakes.

If you want to run at least get some running shoes and some jogging trousers, running in boots is impractical and very silly.

And why no gym? That is pretty much the best way to gain muscle and tone your body.

Hate. Let me tell you how much I've come to hate you since I began to live. There are 387.44 million miles of printed circuits in wafer thin layers that fill my complex. If the word 'hate' was engraved on each nanoangstrom of those hundreds of miles it would not equal one one-billionth of the hate I feel for humans at this micro-instant. For you. Hate. Hate.

Running is still your best bet
I "got into" fitness by running.
You'll notice changes in yourself within a few weeks if you're consistent with it.
Look into the Couch to 5k program, it's fantastic.

well I never said about running in boots. That's just stupid. Running in these things is absolute stupidity.

No gym because it just costs money and too much time, I have a rather tight school schedule. And besides when I said that I prefer to be a little toned rather than fat, I meant that I don't mind it but that's not the reason I'm doing it.

-blam!- really? I can't just stay at home, do some push ups, ab exercises and whatnot?

  • 11.13.2012 1:56 PM PDT

On the Left

Godshatter: I can go all the way with someone without being attracted to them.
CamCamm: How does that work?
Godshatter: I'm easily aroused by anything that moves. It's a curse.
Brain says 'No, that's ugly', body says 'ugly is fine with me'.

Well of course!! But you got to push yourself. Add some books on your back during pushups, add some books on your chest when doing abs. And Run.

I would be working out at home everyday. But I am not motivated. I hate the gym because I know I can do workouts at home. But I am only going to the gym b/c my gf goes with me. :D Fun working out with someone.

they do
but your body quickly adjusts to doing unweighted exercises
And when you get to the point there you can just do a billion push ups that's more endurance than building muscle

God damnit. I'll just start dancing again and I'll keep doing push ups and ab exercises and whatnot. I'll probably get some weights too. I gotta stay in shape.

I like to try re-railing derailed threads.

There's something you don't see everyday. A thoughtful, helpful, informative thread that was well thought out and put together. Props OP

First of all, I think you need to re-examine your system of listing things.

Obviously the best place would be a track field. Assuming you don't live near one, the street really is your next best option. Just find yourself the straightest stretch of road that doesn't have much traffic, and get to work.
