Known by some, but not by all.

Where exactly did the "Septagon" come from? (aka "The Screw") I mean really. Who thought this up? Was someone born with it in their belly button? (I jest) Was there a board meeting? Should we blame Stosh yet again? Who is the person behind it? What is it's real purpose? Is there a special room where Bungie keeps the "Golden Septagon"? Does it have any special powers? Is it radio active?

Obviously there are many questions that need answering.

"When life hands you lemons, don't make lemonade! Make life take the lemons back!" -Cave Johnson

It used to be eight sided, like the Chili Peppers' logo. Then Bungie got exposed to radioactive material during a world domination plot worthy of a James Bond villain. Two of the arms mutated into one abnormally large one, and the Septagon was born.

My future is certain, I will one day fly away. All because I am saved from the penalty of sin. I know he lives.

I always thought it was from the design of a Hummer Rim. The logo started getting famous about the era of everyone wanting to drive their own Hummer.

But it also reminds me of se7en people putting their hands in together and are ready to stay commited no matter what crap blows their way.
