If you had the chance for a dedicated server so there would be no host advantage would you pay a nominal fee per month or a one time payment a year. Also with no host advantage there would be no stand-by, and since there is no way to mod the xbox 360 there would be no cheating at all.

Actually there is a link floating around somewhere about a company that has almost made a mod chip for the 360, so I am pretty sure by the time H3 rolls out it will have been modded, however the new ranking system is in place so all the modders will have a negative gamer record so chances of playing against them are slim.

And no group invites, you jerk. I'm not interested.

What is your problem? If you don't have anything contsructive to add to a post, here is an idea, just don't say anything. People like you can make thses forums a really unfun place. Keep your rude comments to yourself or just leave, please.

No one should ever be afraid of looking stupid, so long as they are making a rational effort to expand their understanding.

No.

1. I already pay to play games on xbl. Setting a precident for additional fees per game would make it exponentially impossible to purchase new titles, and rentals would be rendered impotent....

"Sorry guys, I would like to play Chromehounds with you, but I am already paying fees for 10 other games."

2. Performance between devs would be inconsistent. i.e., EA servers BLOW.

3. A single fan could bring down an entire server and a huge inconvenience for the hundreds or even thousands playing.

4. Consoles change every 4 years or so. They aren't like PC's, where you can simply change out some hardware. Each time next gen is developed, you render your current servers out of date requireing a full replacement. The cost outweighs th advantage.

Devil360 is claiming they have a modchip, there is also a firmware hack for the 360 that will allow you to play a back up of a xbox 360 or xbox game (the fireware hack will most likely get fixed) you can also go online with the back up. You can already access the content of the hdd, codejunkies is making it easier now since they have a devie that will let you access it via pc. I do agree that there should be private servers but there will be a slight advantage for those who has a good internet connection ( dsl vs broad band vs t1). If bungie does do it i would pay for it ( assuming they make you pay).

No. I'd rather buy a frozen coke from Burger King.

Actually you didn't bother to read the forum to see if your question was already asked, and 20 minutes after this post was created you created yours....

1. Unfun is not a word.
2. If you replaced it with the grammatically correct phrase (not fun) it would be kind of lame. Would it really be that hard to think of another derogatory adjective with a similar meaning?

Did I make fun of his spelling or grammar? No I did not, I insulted his unneccesary flame, which I will restrain from doing to you. Never once have I critiqued your spelling or grammar so I would appreciate it if you didn't do so to my post. So I used a word that has no proper definition, you obviously knew what I meant, so who cares?
