Too often, when you shooting at one person who isn't focused on you, and you start getting shot by another person, you don't turn around and challenge, or make any effort to get out of there, even when you have a teammate backing you up. You got lucky with some grenades and missed shots, and consequently didn't lose many deaths, but if thats how you play always, then I see a problem.
I also think your strategy sounds like balls. I haven't played the newer Synapse much, but splitting your team that way normally means its too easy for them to push down one side, and get far back into your side of the map. It also doesn't help that if you're implementing this strategy, and a player on your team dies, hes going to spawn on the opposite side of the map, and rather than helping the two over there to push up, he has to be out of the game while he sprints back to where he died. Doing so makes no sense.
Final note: I don't understand how you said your DMR was your weakest link, but I remember drama on these forums when you were talking yourself up over other players. Bad DMR means you're worse, because you'll lose more often, or get carried, which still makes you bad.
I don't get that. The team is split up yes, but you can put shots on the opposide sides of the map and help your teammates from each side. Thats the point of callouts and teamshotting, all four people are helping eachother.
Also, While my DMR is not the best, I am usually the sniper for my team, so my DMR doesn't have to be as good as my teammates.
