Certainly Bungie is considering expanding the amount of troops onscreen, especially with the 3 cores in the 360.
They Also probably want a more cinematic experience so the large battles would be best if they were limited to certain large events in the storyline, to make it more dramatic

Also the fact that thiers all ways just anuf enmies for you to be able to kill i think isint realistic anuf even for a game so maby some points in levels say u mite have to take Detours to avoide being over run (not saying you cant give it a shot at taking them all on ethier).

especially on legendary!!

Halo 2 didn't actually seem too much like a real war. Look at massive battles like D-Day and Iwo-Jima. Halo 2's battles seemed like little skirmishes that would not have a major impact on a planet-wide war. The Covenant had too few soldiers at their hard-points, and the UNSC had too few marines attacking them. Halo wasn't so much a war, but rather a fight to survive. Halo 2 was supposed to be a war. Halo 3 should have more actual war-like battles in which you actually kill so many of the enemy at once that their leadership may notice.

I would like certen levels to have LARGE groups of Humans ,elites ,flood ,brutes ect having huge wars in the streets out in the, plains and even under ground.
I think with this u would get a real lot of adrenaline filled action from the game and it will also show how many troops the covenant ,humans ect have and there FULL POWER.
Also while your having these huge battles things like ships could be being blow out the sky's in the back ground.
Now bungie have the Xbox360 they should be able to bring out all this from the game witch we havent been able to see (we have only been able to fight with and aginst groups and squads of AI).
But im not saying every level should be like this because it would just over doit if you know what i mean.

Tell me what you think.

That would be really cool, but it would be a better movie piece...um...I forgot what they are called. :P It's when you finish a level and its' like a movie.

Actually I think that would awsome to have in Halo 3. It could start off like in Call of Duty 2.

maybe not even an enourmous amount of AI characters, but just the feeling that it is. Look into Assault on the Control Room, remember the part when you walkj outside into the vast plain with a Wraith and some Marines and Ghosts, Elites, Grunts, A turret, and Jackals? That felt kinda like a battle because of the way they placed things and what they placed. If you count it up it wasn't that many, but it still felt cool. And whoever said about HCE abot survival and H2 about war is right. H2 is also about survival, but on a war-like scale, where as HCE was about personal survival and helping slow down the covenant along the way...I believe that Bungie should spend more time on campaign in Halo 3. It just felt like not as much thinking and effort went into H2 campaign...half the time I didn't know why I was wherever I was. I didnt really know what my objective was...it was kinda like find out as you go, when Halo Combat Evolved had a more direct objective.

Halo's a hell of a drug.

Have you played Hitman on 360? Insane. Like a hundred people on the screen at once. Though the AI for most of them was really weak. Hopefully Bungie will do the same (maybe more) and give them real AI.
