maybe not even an enourmous amount of AI characters, but just the feeling that it is. Look into Assault on the Control Room, remember the part when you walkj outside into the vast plain with a Wraith and some Marines and Ghosts, Elites, Grunts, A turret, and Jackals? That felt kinda like a battle because of the way they placed things and what they placed. If you count it up it wasn't that many, but it still felt cool. And whoever said about HCE abot survival and H2 about war is right. H2 is also about survival, but on a war-like scale, where as HCE was about personal survival and helping slow down the covenant along the way...I believe that Bungie should spend more time on campaign in Halo 3. It just felt like not as much thinking and effort went into H2 campaign...half the time I didn't know why I was wherever I was. I didnt really know what my objective was...it was kinda like find out as you go, when Halo Combat Evolved had a more direct objective.
