I ask the question Because while halo 2 was bieng developed a it was in the FAQS before they changed it. They said the MC would be able to sprint and peak from behind walls. But for some reason they did not do that. Instead we get to jog and not run but not peak around walls.
So I was thinking it would be nice if they added those features or any other new moves through the D-pad and not have be usless. What are your thoughts on this? Is it a good idea to use the D-pad or not? Explain why?

I am...whimsical today.

As far as I can tell the d-pad is only used to make your avatar lower their weapon, or at least look that way to another player. I'm not sure why the d-pad isn't used more, possibly because there was no level that peaking or sprinting would really add to I suppose.

Halo's a hell of a drug.

Totally agree. I think it should be used for simple things like commanding marines. Simple commands like fall back, attack, get in vehiles, and another one.

That sounds tight. I miss moonwalker. I never saw the movie though.

I don't think it will give it a tactical feel to give orders. It will just add a new element to the game. If you don't want to command them then don't. But sometimes the marines get in the way, so commands to communicate with them would be good. How about a command for move away from the warthog so I don't run you over.

well i was thinking like use the left and right arrows for peaking around walls before going into battle or when your in batlle at least you could and shoot with most of your body behind the wall or whatever eslse your hiding behind.
could be helpful if we are going to have to fight in cities or in large battlefields where hiding behind a vehicle and peaking to see what the enemies are up to and bieng able to shot while peakng could save your life.
just a thought but like i said bungie was going to put them but never did. could be fun to have in halo 3.

It doesn't make sense to use the d-pad during play. You can't move and use the d-pad at the same time, making it a detriment to a FPS.
