All are, have been, and always will be canon.

This.

Also the community doesn't matter when deciding what is and isn't canon. If some refuse to believe these are canon, then that's like still believing that earth, wind, fire, and water are elements.
But 1t'z t3h 7ru7hz!!!!111!1!!!!

If you cannot provide proof or simply cannot provide a rational, logical argument then don't say anything at all.

You can obviously believe whatever you want. However you will be missing out on quite a bit when it comes down to it. All games and books, including the comics are ALL canon. To ignore one just means you can't have a full conversation when that information is considered canon by the very people that created and now maintain Halo. If I mention Noble 6, you come back and say Halo:Reach isn't canon in your eyes so he didn't exist. Bungie and 343 say differently. Which means you lose the argument/discussion because you don't control the lore.

That's dragging it out to an extent. I don't believe all comics are canon, especially the one with a retired Spartan. I can believe in certain aspects of Halo: Reach, but I don't have to believe in all of them. The games overwriting book canon was Bungie's policy not 343's (Unless you can provide an article stating otherwise.) I can still be knowledgeable about the lore, but I don't have to accept all of it. I do need to go back and re-read some of the books though.
