There's no need, it's quite pointless. If you want to do that, simply turn off the music and play it in the background.

Also, your poll question makes no sense.

I'm sure the campaign won't change, the same music will be in the same places. Music sets the feel of the location and is critical to the storyline or at least the flow of it. Besides Marty is a god at creating the music for the game.

I guess if you wanted to have your own background in MP that would be fine. I'll just sneak up behind you and smack you down while you blasting music in your ears instead of the Environmental sounds a.k.a footsteps, weapons cocking.

What Iggwilv said is right. Instead of listening to music, you should be paying attention to the sounds you hear around you, like footsteps, thuds, weapon cocking, weapon reloading, bullets whizzing, and mortar explosions. Being aware of your surroundings not only by sight, but also with sound is a key to victory. Trust me, you don't want to have music on during MP.

Stupid parents let their stupid children play games that are rated M when they should be playing Big Birds Spelling Adventures

Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

I want the same music from Halo 2. It is beautiful.

I like the music how it is. in some games you have music blasting in your ears all the time, but with halo its mostly just environment sounds. in SP it has music, but only in places where it adds to the efect of the situation. i realy like the music setup.

H2's music is wonderful, there's no reason not to like it. However, if you want to play without music distracting you, Halo 2 PC will probably have an option to lower or raise the music volume, after all, it is a PC game.

H2's multiplayer is fine without music, you won't be hearing it when there are plasma bolts flying across the map while rockets blow up warthogs and bullets zip through the air. That's why they don't have music in multiplayer, because they wouldn't know what kind of mood the game would be.

I always play with music. It helps me concentrate. I have the game sounds turned up just slightly higher so I can still hear it.

Here you will need this to help you get your foot out of the back of your throat, looks llike its in there pretty deep. And what is that on your face? Egg?! *hands Kim a washcloth*

Ill do what I always do, open up foobar and play music in the background for MP and usually listen to the music in the game in SP.

all i am saying is we should have an option for it, Like some other people I concentrate better with music (rock) playing in the background as I kill grunts elites jakles hunters, and yes I know I can use a music player to do this it causes my game to lag (single and MP) so having an option in the game would be nice for me............ Anyway.

Which is music in itself. :P

I like Marty's music from Halo, Halo 2, and Halo 3. I don't want it changed.

I also don't listen to music in multiplayer. It FUBARs my concentration.

I only listen to music in the background on Halo PC when I'm playing Rockslide Megabattle or hosting a game. It really gets me into the mood for fragging.

Halo has music? I never noticed. When I go to movies with friends, they'll come out and start talking about the soundtrack music. I have no idea what they're talking about. For me, background music is just that– background. If it takes over, it has failed to do it's job.
