Where do I begin...
A while back now (probably not as long ago as I'm remembering it), Activision was forced to release the contract that they have with Bungie as part of a lawsuit with Infinity Ward (to prove that Bungie's project wasn't getting in the way of working on other projects or something like that).
In this contract, we found lots of stuff. Some of this included that "Destiny" (Bungie's new IP's working title at the moment) will be a series of 4 games, one release every 2 years with 3 expansions released on the off-years. Also, that it is a science-fantasy action-adventure shooter with MMO elements.
This talk of MMO elements has lent credence to speculation people have been having about Destiny having factions in them. These rumors started when Podophobia Entertainment (at least, I think it was them), a company owned by Marty and another Bungie employee (I forget who) trademarked 5 names (New Monarchy, Osiris, Dead Orbit, FWC, and Seven Seraphs) along with their respective logos (pictured above for your convenience).
Along with this speculation, DeeJ released these symbols (http://www.bungie.net/images/News/Inline12/BungieDay2012/part icles.png), which were discovered later to be Geomantic Figures and therefore related to Geomancy. DeeJ has assured us that this is all we can have discovered at this time, about the figures, but, because of SkilPhil's post here, I don't think we're seeing all there is to see about these figures.
Anyway, aside from Destiny speculation, DeeJ has been talking about the New Hawtness (the ever-looming 56th installment of a major Bungie.net site design overhaul) more and more recently, so that could be coming sooner than we'd hoped and there's always loads of speculation about new features and new ways to think of old ones floating around in the Septagon.
Hope that covered everything. Wait! No, also, 7 lucky people who found golden tickets (a la Willy Wonka) in their Bags O' Swag last year have won trips to and tours of (or maybe just tours of) Bungie Studios. But, they have to sign an NDA and so we won't be getting any information out of them at all. But it's still pretty cool of them.
There, I think that's everything in recent BNet history. Unless you want news on the Flood... in which case you're outta luck. I don't venture over there often.
