I like to think of myself as an AI - I hunger for information, and I know, one day, that hunger will be my ultimate demise.

Hello everyone, long time no type :)

I have't been around for a while now, and am seeing a lot of talk about deciphering and such.

I would like to know if anyone could do a quick summary of recent events, with things that currently need to be solved.

Thanks for any replies :)

Mmm. Well, did you try reading the thread they were talking about it in my good man?

Thank you sir.

Oh and the way you presented your reply went very well with your moustachioed avatar. :)

Rain, and Jazz.
Halo: Tactical

I'm either a fool or an inteligent man, depending on how sleepy or angry I am.

I originaly made an account on 07.27.2007 but I wanted to link my GT and made this account. Don't forget your passwords!

As of two weeks ago all we are suppost to know ABOUT THE SEVEN SYMBOLS is (According to DeeJ):

4x3 grid
4+3=7
4x3=12
The symbols and their inverse mean things in latin.

There were also two (could be more, I'm not sure) symbol Bungie t-shirts that were not released. The other things are available. (I'm talking about the stuff like "the seven seraphs")

There was a recent initiative to decode the stuff on sandtrap. It was thought that the terminals may have provided meaning to glyphs, but the nessesary HD footage to check it has downed another theory. (I think it will be like that Batman game, where a person [developer?] made a video about that if you do this thing that would have no point at this random spot you get info about the next game. Mabie Bungie did something similar?)

Oh yes, EA recently criticized Steam/Valve about how their sales make IPs seem like they have less value and then did the EXACT SAME THING with their Origin!

There is also a project underway that is trying to get telescopes all over the world to look at a single point (blackhole devouring mass) so the combined virtual quality will be 2,000X that of the hubble telescope. (Heard about this through the Popular Science mag. and Through The Wormhole With Morgan Freeman.)

Thanks for the catch up :)

This is what I got so far:

Where do I begin...

A while back now (probably not as long ago as I'm remembering it), Activision was forced to release the contract that they have with Bungie as part of a lawsuit with Infinity Ward (to prove that Bungie's project wasn't getting in the way of working on other projects or something like that).

In this contract, we found lots of stuff. Some of this included that "Destiny" (Bungie's new IP's working title at the moment) will be a series of 4 games, one release every 2 years with 3 expansions released on the off-years. Also, that it is a science-fantasy action-adventure shooter with MMO elements.

This talk of MMO elements has lent credence to speculation people have been having about Destiny having factions in them. These rumors started when Podophobia Entertainment (at least, I think it was them), a company owned by Marty and another Bungie employee (I forget who) trademarked 5 names (New Monarchy, Osiris, Dead Orbit, FWC, and Seven Seraphs) along with their respective logos (pictured above for your convenience).

Along with this speculation, DeeJ released these symbols (http://www.bungie.net/images/News/Inline12/BungieDay2012/part icles.png), which were discovered later to be Geomantic Figures and therefore related to Geomancy. DeeJ has assured us that this is all we can have discovered at this time, about the figures, but, because of SkilPhil's post here, I don't think we're seeing all there is to see about these figures.

Anyway, aside from Destiny speculation, DeeJ has been talking about the New Hawtness (the ever-looming 56th installment of a major Bungie.net site design overhaul) more and more recently, so that could be coming sooner than we'd hoped and there's always loads of speculation about new features and new ways to think of old ones floating around in the Septagon.

Hope that covered everything. Wait! No, also, 7 lucky people who found golden tickets (a la Willy Wonka) in their Bags O' Swag last year have won trips to and tours of (or maybe just tours of) Bungie Studios. But, they have to sign an NDA and so we won't be getting any information out of them at all. But it's still pretty cool of them.

There, I think that's everything in recent BNet history. Unless you want news on the Flood... in which case you're outta luck. I don't venture over there often.
