The answer is OBVIOUS.

DMG04 MOD 2012.
Two things.

First, you clearly missed my amazing campaign speech a few pages ago and Ben's attempt at slander to which my speech was a rebuttal.

Second, boo to DMG! He promised me a copy of his uncle/father's Rocksmith-esque game and I never got it! HISS!!!
Lol, because that company was completely bought out after the engineer completely screwed the pooch! :)

No -blam!- -blam!- the Ben and Ken one, I'm talking about the 3 that went off without a hitch and had no problems occur.
You don't get to talk about all the space shuttle launches that were off without a hitch, ignore the ones that did not, and say there's no danger. (Luckily with those there was no deliberate sabotage so we could continue with them.)

All 4 were polls, they have polls int he OP. That makes them polls. Do you know what a poll is?? I have a distinct feeling you don't. Way to ignore every point in that and latch onto the one thing you perceive that doesn't make sense... even though it does, haha. I'll reword it AGAIN since you seem to be unable to make the simple logical connections most people use in everyday life.

"Thirdly, even if all four were polls, that's not how statistics work."
Turns into (even though you're taking it out of context as well)...

"Thirdly, even though four of the twenty were polls, that's not how statistics work."

Yes he is.In the analogy, the 'Pitcher' would be Ken. One person. If it isn't, your analogy holds no ground. Which is what you already admitted one post ago. You're backtracking based on semantics.

The pitcher is being barred from playing. The whole community is being barred from Mail Sack polls and voting. Pitcher = Everyone. If the pitcher deliberately sabotaged it, then it would be 'everyone.'

And if you don't like the pitcher being 'everyone' then, then let's just say his pitching arm consists of the people that cheated.

Otherwise, like you already admitted a post ago that you're backtracking on, your analogy holds no weight. Can somebody else back me up here this is getting annoying.

My post to DeeJ was talking about his irrational fear of letting us vote for -blam!-, which is based on the Ken/Ben incident, which influences his idea that people would use Alts in a Moderator voting type deal (which isn't even what I'm talking about). My post referred to his unwillingness to let us vote for -blam!-, but it was related to everything else as well due to DeeJ's ideas relating it to everything else.Deej said you can't vote for mods because the polls can be corrupted. By letting only trusted individuals choose, the results aren't corrupted. No cheats. Important decisions can no longer be left to such things. Now that wouldn't necessarily be the case if by 'voting' it were changed to 'post in the thread with your vote and you account had to be Legendary or Mythic.' But since polls can be cheated, they cannot be relied on.

Then you said you weren't talking about the polls. In which case your post makes no sense.
Then you said you were talking about the polls. In which case your point two posts before that makes no sense.
Then you said you were talking about both. In which case you make no sense period.

I think this is the last post I'm going to make on this topic so I'll leave with a short, simple and oh so eloquent little phrase....

"It takes a mod to know a mod".

YOU MADE ME POST!!!!

Achronos is still a moderator though; a person given special powers to enforce the rules on an Internet forum, newsgroup or blog.

While Achronos, and the webteam, do have the final say, the mods (as far as I'm aware) put names forward for candidates.

Does anyone even read these?

If there's one thing I gathered from this thread, this forum would have a hell of a lot less drama if Ken wasn't around. I mean, it might actually be able to function properly. We wouldn't have such a huge debate on whether or not we can be trusted with voting in a contest.

Oh well, drama can be fun sometimes.

Are we actually doing this? I didn't even get to post evidence showing that majority rule is a poor choice when choosing someone to be in a position of power.

[1] Those who are the most popular tend to be the most inept for the job." - Some moderator

[1] This quote is pretty much what they said; I don't know exactly what it was.

It makes sense. This forum has those who can be well-known, but they might not be good for the job.

However, if they're well known and a high ranking member, it would seem that they've proven their worth and should be voted on (by their consent) to be a Ninja.

There are already political parties.

Bungie political parties? Is there separate groups trying to get ninja power by popular vote within the B.net?

It's the secret faction in Destiny.

No, Bungie doesn't seem to have any overt interest in letting the community pick a moderator. So, I'd say no we are not doing this, so post away.

OT: I don't even know what's going on in this thread other wise. When I don't understand what's going on anymore, that usually means its gone off topic and I should lock it. Usually, but not always. My own ignorance is a poor justification for moderation. However, I should be able to understand what's going on, because this topic is not that complex nor abstract. So, I'd suggest we stay on topic.

One thing I know for sure is the community doesn't get to actively vote on whether or not this topic is locked, aside from staying on topic and blah blah follow rules. So..uh, please do that. Thanks.
