Halo multiplayer sucks!
Based on campaigns
Halo 2 > Halo 3 ODST > Halo 3 > Reach/CE tied
I now have updated my opinions. Time for some more detailed reviews from me.
Halo CE
POSITIVES: Themes of discovery and mystery, large battles
NEGATIVES: Twisty twiny plot, half assed second half of campaign, easy to kill enemies, overpowered explosions, unclear sections, drawn out and boring sequences and level design.

Halo 2
POSITIVES: Large sandbox of weapons, diverse enviroments, diverse enemies, character development, dual wielding, believable AI, best story.
NEGATIVES: Some repetitiveness, drawn sequences, and unclear parts of levels, and drones, the worst characters to be introduced to Halo.

Halo 3
POSITIVES: Great aesthetic overhauls, more weapons and vehicles, powerful melee, live co op, large battles and great encounters.
NEGATIVES; Too short, takes 5 missions for the plot to get going, enemies have been dumbed down.

Halo 3 ODST
POSITIVES: Complex and great story and storytelling, Sades Story, immersive enviroment and believable city. Themes include war, human nature and betrayal, and post apocalypse. Fun and diverse encounters and new weapons, plus new enemy ranks.
NEGATIVES: Unrealisitic gameplay detracts from the believeability, and the ending was kind of a lame attempt to link the characters to the main trilogy.

Halo Reach
POSITIVES: Some great aesthetic overhauls, like the elites, grunts and jackals, diverse enviroments, new weapons, more enemy ranks.
NEGATIVES: There is no plot. There are individual missions with an objective, and there is backstory, but the game lacks a coherent, flowing plot. Usless weapons like the plasma rifle, spiker and repeater. Brutes look pathetic and are pathetic in game. Vehicles are made of cardboard.
