E3 2013

Yup.

Name another game that's been successful and announced 1-3 months before release; a "Triple-A" title, no less.
One that is supposed to be released on the successor to the xbox 360. Also chances are it's going to be released Holiday 2013, not August 2013. Ever hear of sarcasm?
The first one is going to be released on the 360, and later the successor. And it said int he contract Q3 2013. Holiday 2013 is not Q3.
Dat contract

A. Release Plan (page 2)
"The release plan for the Destiny Games ("Release Plan")is currently comprised of four (4) major retail Destiny Game releases tentatively scheduled for the Fall of 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019 and four (4) Comet releases following each Destiny Game release tentatively scheduled for the Fall of 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2020."
Fall of 2013 is the key. Says nothing about the 3rd quarter (unless you can find it way deeper in the contract)

Platforms
(b) As described in the Native Release Plan, Destiny Game #1, along with any related DLC Releases as well as Comet #1, shall be initially developed by Licensor to operate on and be compatible with the Microsoft Xbox 360 video game console ("Xbox 360") and the next successor console platform released by Microsoft configured for both the NTSC and PAL television/video standards ("Xbox 720")."
It doesn't say anything about releasing early on the 360 either. Where did you get these facts from? Or is it fiction?

I came for Halo, but I heard the Tru7h, fought thru Carnage, and stayed for Bungie.

PAX East please. It doesn't have to be the first Destiny reveal (nor would I expect it), I just want to see Bungie their.

1. I'm pretty sure it says Q3 somewhere in there, and that people didn't make it up out of nowhere. I'm pretty sure I saw it in there somewhere too. If it's Fall 2013 and Q3 then we can expect a September release. Also, Holiday 2013 != Fall 2013. So you're still wrong (not to be like "haha you lose", just sayin').

2. You think the new Xbox will be out by Fall 2013? I highly doubt it.

Brownie lives!

"10000?"

I'm betting the VGA's or PAX. After all, Halo Reach was announced at the VGA's.

EDIT: Nope, Halo Reach was NOT announced at the VGA's. What was I thinking?

ISU Cyclones!

I hope we have more than half a year from the first announcement til' release... that doesn't leave much time to actually do the stuff that I loved about the build up to the other Halo games like podcasts, vidocs, and other things.

Halo Reach was announced at E3 2009.

Perhaps since E3 is later in the year than back in 2005 when Microsoft announced Xbox 360, things will change. But probably not. The Xbox 360 and all of its games were announced the May before its November release.

E3 is now roughly a month later. But the whole point of a new console launch is new IP's, that appear on New Consoles, are not usually announced until the announcement of the new console. This makes sense because you want the consumer to buy the new console and its version of the game, not the old one.

I understand nothing because my life is a conspiracy.

Well, Europe is a long way to travel for an announcement.
