Incompetent mods, or coincidence?

Two days ago someone made a thread with the ending of The Dark Knight Rises in the title. Here is the link (Spoiler warning). The thread OP was reported so much that it had been collasped, but as you know, that does nothing to the titles.

This OP, this user, basically spoiled the movie for me and many others, and I want to know why nothing has been done by the mods. Hell, at the time when he posted it, Evilcam was locking other threads on the board... Why couldn't he of done something then?

I'm a relatively new user on these forums, but I have read the rules. They quite clearly state that unmarked spoilers is a bannable offence*. So, is this coincidence? Have the mods simply missed this thread? Or are they just ignoring it?

And yes, I'm annoyed. One of the biggest movies of the year was spoiled by some careless user who did nothing to correct the situation, even after being called out on it just three posts in.

*- Do not post spoilers or even pretend spoilers without clearly marking them.

Why did you click the more button? By accident? Reply is at the bottom...
They call me The Precursor

He lied it was actually Superman.

OT: Some threads are missed. May have been a busy night and they can't be everywhere at once. Should've went to the midnight release.

Pretty sure the rule is specified for Bungie games. I don't think the rule covers 'any spoiler in any form of media, ever made.'

If this is true, then the thread wasn't breaking any rules and didn't warrant a lock.

The rule covers all forms of media that can be spoiled, including any form of magazine scans or internet leaks.

No spoilers are allowed whatsoever. Bungie game or not.

Not sure what happened in that instance, but my advice to you in general is to stay the hell away from the internet if you're waiting to see/play/read something dear to you.

I knew it covered magazine scans and internet leaks, but I thought that was only in regard to Bungie related material. There you go, I learned something today.

They should be dealt with severely, I'm telling you. But it's best not to risk visiting the Flood when there's a movie you want to see coming out.

@trueunderdog

Chapter

Narwhallace Smithington: Gone, but not forgotten. Never approve of anything lil guy. <3
Furious George: The new -blam!-

Next time you see a thread with objectionable material such as the one linked in the OP, don't go out of your way to bump the thread, spoiling the movie for even more people, and antagonize the OP of that thread, just so you can take a shot at the moderators.

Next time, just PM one of us and we can handle it accordingly.

Thanks.
