Honestly, this is a good cover up for all the idiots who won't know its a cover up .

Let's say that I get permission from George Lucas to write a story about Star Wars, which will be a prologue to Episode I. Now, let's say that 10 years later, George Lucas decides to make my book into a movie. However, many parts of the book were not put into the movie, and there are multiple inconsistencies between my book and George Lucas' production.

Now, based on what I just told you, whose idea is right? Mine, someone who got permission to write a story about Star Wars, or the Word of God himself?

Obviously, George Lucas gets to decide what is and what isn't canon in his series.

Based off of this, Eric Nylund's novel, although a great book, became non-canon once Halo: Reach was released. Get over the fact that the game "didn't hold true to the book," because the Word of God changed it.

"In Halo 3 not all 50's were good players, but all good players were 50's."

Your opinion is invalid.

Even if the written story was better by a ridiculous amount?

"Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing"

Why should I get over the fact that Bungie didn't know what they were doing?

If George Lucas is the game developer in this case then whatever he says goes. In the case of Halo the game developer currently holds those rights. Although, the fiction would be much better if they did not as in the case of Star Wars and Halo.

Name's John. I'm a 21-year-old firefighter/EMT from lolhio who doubles as a die-hard Halo fan. I've been enjoying the franchise since 2001. My favorite iteration of Halo would have to be Halo 2 simply because I never got to experience the joy of a full-on Halo: CE LAN.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Oh yeah, and boot Zome.
