Subject: What kinda new Halo envirenments do you want to see in Halo 3?

weather: rain, snow, heavy wind(carries grenades further/shorter), heavy fog, ect.
and have each level have multiple weather conditions

The types of environments I would like to see would be desert, jungle, rainforest, snow, blizzards, thunderstorms (with lightning that lights up the level, which reveals hidden enemies), more city levels (as in a LOT more), some night levels, and that's it.

Weather effects would be the best. Bungie could make it like when it rained the water would drip down mc's visor and you'd be able to see it on your screen. Same thing with sand and mud. Imagine your sniping from across the map and your team mates drive through a puddle of mud, the mud would splash on your visor and it would be really hard to see. It would add some realism to the game.
lol, and you cant forget blood on the visor too...

There should be a level where MC is in free fall from a high, high altitude right after an explosion of either a Pelican or some other air/space craft. Imagine MC falling with debree all around him and elites falling as well and you've got to find a working banshee or something to slow or stop your fall. The ground is approaching fast and you know because you can actually see objects and landscapes increasing in size.


I don't know, I was simply trying to come up with something unique that no one has thought of before.

Ok here are my thoughts on what should be in the enviroments in halo 3.

-rain, rain would make a great feature in both multiplayer and campaign because it would give such great realism to the story, like making it foggy rain so u would need a flashlight to see what is in the clearing and also u could see faint images of shoots in the distance but wouldnt be 2 clear for more realism. And when it rains after a while there should start to be puddles forming on the ground and on top of cars and junk and after a while u should see foot prints in the ground from it gettin really moist and wet.

-thunder, thunder would be a nice addition to the play of the game, like in dark levels when its raining thunder goes off in the sky and the whole place lights up for a few sec. to make it more creepy. also in like campaign if there was a part where ur walking in the city and its raining and thundering and all of a sudden say a tree or a pole gets struck with lighting and catches fire lighting up the area around it. and the thunder would offer great sound effects to the play of the story.

-fog, fog would had some fun to multiplayer by giving a better way of stealth in swampy/rainy levels and could be used as an anvandage like to loose an enemy or hiding in it with the flag in capture the flag, it would really make u think with ur moves and tactics.

-lava, lava i think wouldn't make a good use in the halo world because it wouldn't seem right so my answer to adding lava in halo 3 would be a no.

-snow, snow as made a few good parts in the campaign of halo 1 and a great multiplayer map in halo 2 because of the fact that made things more bright and fun, but it lact the area of surprise because the charcter always stood out in the bright snow so if there was a way to tone the color a little down would be great and also if foot prints started to appear in the snow when u walked in it and snow could also start to fall from the sky, and say when ur driving a warthog and u stop suddenly u should slid a little bit for more realism in the game play.

-desert, desert would be better in big multiplayer levels because it would give more of a feild of vast deserts in game play. and say winds could come by an blow the sand around making little sandstorms would make it more realier and more of a challenge to see around but there should be like dunes not flat deserts because flat wouldn't make a good playing feild and also the idea of stoping in a warthog suddenly and slid a little bit would work in this feild 2 also the footprints to and the level shouldn't be a bright desert it should look more like the desert in the halo 3 tralier.

-rainforest, rainforests would be a cool idea to add to the levels of halo 3 because it could be used in a creppy way like in the distance u could see the figure of another player walking behind the trees and then suddenly disapearing deeper into the forest and if there were like bases for red and blue teams in multiplayer they should look like old ruins with vines and stoff covering them and also the footprint idea could be used here 2 because the ground could be really moist like mud. And also in the multiplayer maps that have rain forests they could have like tree houses that have bridges connecting them so u could see whats going below u or giving a few sniping spots but the houses would have to be damaged and so would the bridges and vines and other plants growing over them.

-ships, ship enviroments would be cool to have in halo 3 multiplayer maps because u could have like little vents that u would have to croutch to get in and they could help as quick ways to get to a different part of the map and then there could be a big cargo bay where most of the big fights would take place and then there would be like hallways with other smaller rooms that could be held for smaller fights and some parts would have locked doors with a switch near by to open them and say if u and a friend are running from a swarm of other players and u go past one of these doors and hit the switch then the door would close and be locked because the switch will be in the room with u and ur friend are in and making it harder for the other team to get u so the the other team would have to use a different route to get to u or find a different way like using one of those vents to get into the room making a big surprise to u and ur friend.

-mountains, mountains would be good for a halo 3 sniping multiplayer level and u would have to use different routes along the mountain to help u get around and also there could be little caves that help u get around 2 and there should be snow falling and some already on the ground and sat if u fall of the cliff of one of these mountains u die because of such a fall making it more tricky to get around the place and maybe there could be like old looking bridges that have been there for awhile to help u get across some of the areas that u could fall on if u dont use the bridge.

Let's be honest ever since Halo 1 everyone has been posting what new kinds of enviroments we all want.

Well, ever since Halo 1 I have been wanting the following: A true Jungle map, w/ thick foliage(sp?) changing light ect.
A snow map, not like Sidewinder or lockout, or even Containment. A map set high up in the Mountains w/ low & high terrain.
An African Safari type map that would have a Blood Gulch feel to it.
A 343 Guilty spark map w/ waist deep water.
A map that is mostly water, w/ boats ect.
A map that takes place at night. The base would be pitch black, w/ flickering lights.(Flashlights would have to be used inside the base to see).
More futuristic looking maps that have that clean polished shine look(Ex: Damnation from Halo 1).
A forrest map w/ low & high terrain.
A ship to ship combat map like boarding action from Halo 1, but w/ less warps.

Also every map needs to have special things or actions that can be done ala' Zanzibar.

think of this u are fighting in the plans of africa and sudanlly a stamped of elephants come charging in or some other animals.
