7 years for me too.
I started on bnet when H2 was released. I don't often post, mostly just lurk around.
I only have ever really played the halo series of games, (if any other achievements have been on my GT, that would be my son!) as one game of H2 had me hooked and no other game comes close to the experience of the campaigns or multiplayer.

I just think he site has a lot to offer and a great community.

H2 was indeed an amazing game so was Halo CE. If I had never played Halo CE I'd probably not be playing any kind of games right now. Halo CE introduced me to a new world ;_;. Before I meet Bungie I hardly ever played video games.

Oh Verachi, how I miss the old days of Halo 3.

Me too :'[

Congrats, man! I still have you on my list, but we haven't played since '09, literally! Last time we talked, it was on H3 and you said you were leaving for like a year.

I was gone for about two years but I signed on B.net once in a while so my account wouldn't get deleted :/ Thanks for staying on my list. Surprisingly not too many people took me off. I was expecting to come back to a empty friends list.

Glad to see you still around. Keep on keeping on, bro.

Thanks mayne.

I'm Shoot U up. I've been a member here since January 12th, 2006. I'm a proud member of the Ninja Academy, as well as Team Timeout. Feel free to send me a message. Join Teamtimeout!

Grats on seven years. :)

I leave for a few months and come back. My mythic is always a few posts away.

I find that Bungie is a nice little place that hearkens back to my earliest days on the internet. The Flood is just as infantile and stupid as it was when I was 12 years old. It's beautiful.

Youch, 7 years.. I feel so young! I actually have no idea why I come back each day, after 2 - 3 years it's like a bad habit.. an addiction. Of course I mean in a good way, I think.

Congrats on staying addicted to Bungie.net lol. It's one hell of a drug...believe me...lol

But I stick around because I love the community and Bungie. There are stupid, funny, witty, and smart members of the community, and I think we have the perfect blend of them to keep things interesting.

Well I was originally here on an older account that I signed up with in 2004 but I lost the details for that around 3 months ago so fresh start with this one :)

  • 07.27.2012 8:47 AM PDT

I'm Gourlay, I'm only here because I didn't know we had the option to leave.

Congrats bro, I feel for you. It was a long journey ;)

What keeps me coming back is the community and the fear of Disembodied Soul coming to get me.

Why is hammer such an asshole?

How about I hammer your asshole.

I only stay because of one group I'm in.

This place is very conspiratorial. Who doesn't like wacky ideas?

1.) "Crack In Time" - Louder Production Music
2.) "Agressive Sucks" - Moss Landing
3.) Custom Version of "Meet Oscar" - Louder Productions Music
4.) "Behind You Rise" - Distortion Music
5.) "Aurora" - Mark Petrie
6.) "Surge Down - Audio Machine

I'm almost at 4 years, and I learned a lot from here.

And I always come back for the experience (:

I'll probably make a 7 years thread. Assuming my thread doesn't get locked for being about a number mind you. As if that limits the discussion value somehow.

I deliberately avoided making a five-year thread. And I didn't even notice my 6th- I received a few PMs alerting me to it thankfully. But seven? Seven is a good year. Good on you man.

Indeed, another thing that makes this site awesome is our mods are pretty good. I haven't seen too much unrighteous dominion here. And if a mod isn't behaving they get taken down.

Me too, I avoided making a thread about my 5 or 6 year mark but 7? 7 is special. Next time I'll make one of these threads will be when/if I hit 17 or 77 years (:O).

To think of all the hours I have spent on this site could have actually gone into my studying...

how the hell did you manage to join the site before the internet existed
did you submit your application by mail

Im not one to Trump, ok maybe I am. Ill be a 10 yr vet a week from Monday.
I love b.net as a community, a hub of great games, the New Hotness one after another.
People with a common interest to take over the world. The forums is a guage of the community, and even without the cash cow title for all purposes can RIP, this community stays strong rejuvenated by a new generation of members and bungie hipsters. Maybe its I who needs to move on with my life? Well make me an offer bungie, otherwise,
