This is more of a question than a statement, there are several theories on this site that use the 3 books, fall of reach etc. as a reference for clues about the plot line of halo 3. Though some of these theoies are really cool and interesting, (clones and lies etc) I find it quite hard to believe they can be possible, because the books have HUGE plot holes if you compare them to the games, it seems like people see some things, and ignore the others to make a wild theory up. Also, Bungie would certainly need to release the books with halo 3 or outline these stories before revealing such intricate plot twists. Yes halo started without knowledge of previous encounters, it gave enough unfo to fill in the gaps.
Also, if the theories about ackerson, other spartans and marines being on delta halo before 117, how come there is ZERO clues? apart from afew marine supplies and a couple of dead marines in suspicious places, personally i believe these are just simple mistakes by bungie, as halo 2, no matter what any of you want to believe, was not the game it should have been, though still very good.
My question is, what theories can really be used and does anybody believe that the books can really reveal surprise naaratives when it seems they do little more than spin a bit more money for the halo franchise?
for the record i also think the books are terribly written, especially 'the fllood', unless you happen to be twelve.
