PAX SCHEDULE HERE

Is this true?

I see no better time for Bungie to announce their new world to us. EVERY Bungie game has been announced a year to 15 months before it's released. Bungie is running out of time. They need to put forums for speculation on bungie.net, we need an update.

PAX is also HOSTED IN SEATTLE. What better way to introduce your new game to the fans when you're at home? This would also the "the new hawtness" would be right around the corner.

I seriously think in the next 6 weeks we will be out of the dark.

If they will: rejoice.
If they won't: rejoice.

They always go...either as exhibitors or attendees.

  • 07.26.2012 6:25 AM PDT

I seriously hope so, but an early 2013 announcement seems far more likely now.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

AWW MAN, I knew I should of bought a PAX ticket but money was tight. Oh the woes of being a college student.

Pretty sure you're looking for 'woes', Ken.
I don't care when it is, I just can't wait for some solid information on the new title, whether that's a teaser trailer and title, or more.

Is it PAX where Notch is holding some party with Avicii too?

I would honestly be surprised if Bungie wasn't there in an official capacity. I was just talked about this last night with a friend and this reference may lead to "we're not going to give you any game details until 2013".

Bungie is running out of time. From a marketing standpoint, they need to hype the hell out of this game, starting with the announcement. I think announcing it Q1 2013 is not soon enough. I have my hopes up for PAX.

I have been walking around with the Bungie Day shirts to try and raise awareness.

When the heck is PAX?

  • 07.26.2012 6:48 AM PDT

That article is no better than the claims we make on here.
It's just 'oh, usually it would be announced now'.

Companies 'usually' don't go dark for 2 years in between each project. I think it's safe to say we all have no real idea when it will be announced.

If they do announce it at PAX that would be sweet. I bet the website will get the new hawthness when Destiny is officially announced.

IT'S TRUE UNTIL PROVEN FALSE.

CAUSE THAT'S HOW WE DO IT IN 'MERICA.

Most of us are ever since the rash cream no longer soothed lack of sources or erroneous claims.

As for the thread maker... that article was pure speculation with absolutely no backing. It's just like us talking on the forums. Do I hope it's true?

... Sure, since I know Bungie.net people will be there and we'll have any videos available mere minutes after it is shown live if Bungie doesn't ensure there's a live stream. I happen to agree with the article- I think sooner is better than later. This darkness shouldn't just wait until 2013. Bungie has been dark for far too long. We're here because we love Bungie but let's be honest- we're a minority. Not all that many gamers keep up with every detail of a specific company they love. Most people won't have a clue or even CARE about their new game if it isn't hyped. And I'll be honest- I want Bungie's new Universe to do VERY well. I think most of us do.

So here's hoping Bungie pulls more fantastic ad campaigns out of their ass like ODST's. Reach... well, they had 'Deliver Hope' which was amazing. But things like that 'star map' online? It didn't seem to really end with a bang. But we'll see.

  • 07.26.2012 7:33 AM PDT

It be cool if they talked about what they are doing.

Chief vs the scarab? I find that hard to believe to roundhouse boot the scarab's figurative emotion out of the gaming zone.

Although I'd love to see something like this happen at PAX because I'll actually be there this year, this article is just speculation so I'm not going to get my hopes up.

Bye.

There is an easy way to tell if this is true. If you check back in a few hours and this thread had been deleted, then we are sooo getting a teaser at PAX! :-D

Not to mention the Official PAX Schedule is posted 3-5 weeks before the event. That's less than 2 weeks from now.

When I grow up, I want to be just like goofenhour.

The website just looks like a blogging website. The guy has literally no evidence other than the contract. So the guy is making educated guesses.

But, nonetheless, I actually agree with the guy. But I'm using some not-so-reliable sources just like him, some of which he mentioned. It all comes down to release date.

The only thing confirmed about the game is that it's coming out Fall of 2013. Almost all games have a one year marketing push. E3 has passed, and so did Bungie day, with no announcement.

Also, I remember Marty saying something on twitter like "Bungie isn't at Comic-Con this year?". Why would Bungie be at Comic, especially when they didn't announce anything? I think it's just a cryptic message from Marty just showing how soon the announcement is. The only next big game expo, and the last, is PAX 2012 located in no other place other than Seattle Washington, only a few miles away from Bungie.

Now location really doesn't matter to announcement of the game, but I think it could help releasing it at a conference where you live. And people always refer to PAX as the expo where the fans can connect with the developers, and I think that a place like Bungie would release it at a place where the fans can play like PAX rather than a place than the media can play, like E3.
