If they come on this website and don't know that the site is in English, they're pretty dumb. If they come on this site, know it's in English, and opt to post in their native language, that makes no sense.
I wouldn't go on a spanish Halo forum and go around posting in English.
Also: porque escribir en espanol cuando estas en un forum de ingles es un muevo muy estupido. mas estupido que abofetear a Yoozel cuando tu nombre no es SonicJohn.
Translation to avoid ban: Because to write in Spanish when you're on an English forum is very stupid. More stupid than slapping Yoozel when your name isn't SonicJohn.
I have seen the messages in Bungie games telling players to register on bungie.net, but I'm not sure if players using other languages receive the same ones. If they do see the same thing in a diffent language, then I don't find it strange when other languages are used here.
Also, google can do stuff like this, making easier for non-English readers to navigate the website.Which is awesome. But I don't think there's anyone out there in any country who isn't incredibly sheltered who think that Bungie is native to any country other than America or uses predominantly any language but English.
There are many things that can get lost in translation, but those two things are not easily misplaced. And, because of that, I would expect people to, at the very least, use Google Translate to try to translate into English their posts.
I've seen this happen and, at the very least in the Community Forum, people have been very sympathetic to those not native to speaking English, even going as far as using their own adeptness at foreign languages to reply both in English and the original posters native tongue.
All it takes is the effort to try and conform with the societal norm, especially when it's expected and mandated of you.
