get it through your head, 343 was glad to see that some of the flood survived to reproduce

WHY??????????? why wud he be HAPPY to see the downfall of the universe in the form of a parasite survive to reproduce? you are reading waay to far into this. its simple. he wants them dead. otherwise if he was so HAPPY he wouldnt be up his own arse about containment all the dang time

im not disagreeing with you wuyie....to be honest it was me. i made a thread about time travel and it got slapped in my face by some guy with all these paradoxes and evidence. he then told me to shove all time theories and any thing else along the line and was banned for that shortly afterward.

Okay time for my reasons why the forerunners are human.

The ark. When the Halos were activated they went to Earth. The ark somehow protects Earth from halo. Maybe a giant sheild or something. They stayed on Earth to give time for the Flood to die, but they didnt.

343. He is shocked chief didnt know what halo does. remeber what he said. After he explained what Halo did he said "But you already knew that, I mean how couldn't you?"

He also talks about armor. "Your suit is only a class 5, a class 12 is adiquit." I butcherd the quote. But you get the point.

In the maw he talks about how he must talk to chief with all the lost time. But what lost time? The time the forerunners activated Halo till the time he met the chief. "Human history is it?" Ah, a key moment.

Anotherpoint, he calls chief reclaimer. As pointed out in this topic a reclaimer is someone who reclaims something. He thought the chief was a reclaimer sent by the forerunners to activate halo. Thats why he took him to the index. He aslo took marines. In the library he talk about the marines and how they died, you can see some corpses and thier are human floods. He thinks the Humans have come to activate Halo, they crashes landed on halo when the flood were realeses. So what would 343 think? "Oh they came right when they broke out, better go get them."

I am going to get flamed for my views, but whatever, I might not post in this topic again.

the monitors job and all the sentinels was too contain the flood
not kill them
if any outbreak happened halo would have to be activated
and an outbreak can only happen if another sentient life let them out
so the monitor was happy to see that some survived b/c it was his job to contain them not kill them
if they all died, he wouldn't be needed anymore, he would be obsolete
so he wouldn't be needed

think of it this way, if you had a job to make sure something stayed alive
but contained
and they all died
you would loose you job
it is basically like working at a dangerous zoo

As I said Iceman, he is insane, he had nothing to do on Halo for thousands of years. The flood give him something to do. He can study, he can watch. The flood dont harm him so he can watch them as he pleases. He has gone insane and could care less if the universe dies. The only reason he still wants to reactivate Halo is it is still his programming to lead a forerunner to do so. Why do you think only humans can activate them?

exactly. only humans can activate them because they ARE the forerunner.

i know GS is a little "off" but really. he was designed to make sure the installation was working properly. ok?

he prolly knows the flood reside in his installation, yes?

THEREfore, seeing as how he lives with these things and now they exist, why would he make a redudant claim that he is glad to see they reproduce?

now put that logic with humans (MC) and you get:

"hey. glad to see your species is still here"

after meeting him.

the humans are reclaimers
as said by the monitor

the monitor's reaction to seeing a human would have been way different if the humans were forerunners
but they are just reclaimers

anyone can be a reclaimer as long as they can activate Halo
but since the covenaunt caused the Flood outbreak
the monitor doesnt recongnize them as reclaimers but as enemies

The installation was specifically built to study and contain the Flood. Their survival as a race was dependent upon it. I am grateful to see that some of them survived to reproduce.

here. take this quote. ponder it. read it. dissect it. ima go to lunch (McDonalds)

be back in an hour to continue this 4 vs. 1 onslaught

just because the humans can only activate halo does not mean they are forerunners
it means that they have some sort of connection with the forerunners
that is why both of the monitors call humans reclaimers

Once again 343..the name Forerunners is a name the Convenant gave to the race...it is not the name that 343 gave them. THe convenant named them that because the came before them. hence Forerunner.

We're not sure that the Covenant named them The Forerunner. In H1, when Chief and Cortana get to the control room, Cortana is accessing data and she doesn't even know who named the the Forerunner. She just says that's what they are called. It was the first time the Covenant had been on that particular ring, and I don't think they accessed the files just to name the Forerunner. It was an already established name in the ring's databases.

To go along with the original post. The humans are not the Forerunner in my opinion. IN MY OPINION. I'm not laying down Halo truth, because honestly, I don't know the truth Bungie is going to lay before us. The Monitors, Forerunner constructs, would recognize their own creators, but instead call humans Reclaimers. What does that really mean? Only time and Bungie will tell.

We only fought about that quote and if it was talking about forerunners or the flood. Other then that we are allies. We both agree that human=forerunners.
