When I played Halo 3, it was all about fun. When I started playing Reach, it was, and still is all about credits.

Actually, Halo 3 was all about getting a 50.

I looked past Reach's credit system and enjoyed it for what it was.

Ohai, I'm Loscocco (pronounced Loss-cocoa). I'm a college student (computer science major), 3D animator, and long-time Halo player.

Fun is subjective, but Halo 3 wins.

I like both of them and enjoy playing both, but to me, it's hard for reach to beat the good old days on sandtrap.

Both are fun for me. I choose Halo 3 since I liked the campaign more.

I think Halo 3 had the best campaign of all the halo games.

"In Halo 3 not all 50's were good players, but all good players were 50's."

Your opinion is invalid.

Halo 3 is more pleasing in regards to gameplay feel, artistic style, and the entire matchmaking system. Halo Reach MLG takes more skill, but because of the above factors too many people were turned off when Reach was released and that caused the MLG community to decline.

I personally like Reach more.

I like the campaign of Halo 3 the best but I like the Halo Reach multiplayer the best. I didn't really care for the Reach campaign much. I like the halo 3 multiplayer alot, but for some reason i've played Reach so much more.

I'm new to competitive Halo and Halo itself (Reach being my first video game ever actually). Message me if you want to play;

Reach: MLG, Arena, Doubles, BTB and customs.
Halo 3: Ranked MM and customs.

Also I have every Halo title and all of its DLC on the Xbox 360.
-Umpa

Reach has;

hitscan weapons

great party system/forge/customs

Reach MLG

etc.

Halo 3 had the far superior ranking system though.

Neither are satisfactory. But Reach has better game save modding support so I play that. Combat becomes much more bearable once bloom is toned down, AI health is set at a reasonable level, and encounters are manipulated (particularly getting rid of Noble Team).

Half of what I say is true. The other half are also lies.

Guess I'm the only one who likes H3 forge more here. Things could be built with relative speed and, if you knew how, in interesting ways.

I liked both equally, so uhhhhh halo threach?

  • 07.27.2012 8:28 PM PDT

Well, both games to me are really fun.

The 343 forums suck. They're full of retarded kids and mods who got butthurt in the B.net forums for being told that they're bad.

I was able to play and thoroughly enjoy Halo 3 until Reach came out, when the population declined.

I am unable to do the same with Reach until Halo 4. I have basically given up on Reach, but I may go back and play Anniversary now that I finally have it.

No.

This.

I enjoyed H3 more because it had less frustrating elements in it.

  • 07.28.2012 2:27 PM PDT

Halo 3=skill > Halo Reach=no skill

  • 07.28.2012 2:33 PM PDT

The game is about what you want it to be about.

  • 07.28.2012 2:43 PM PDT

Why Bungie, why would you do this?! - Halo Community

Besides the much more obvious host advantage and a lacking forge, H3 was tons more fair and fun than Reach in my opinion.
