Subject: Fast or Slow-paced Forums?

This is the way the world ends,
This is the way the world ends,
This is the way the world ends;
Not with a bang but a whimper.

Which do you prefer, both in private groups and in the mains? Do you like the hustle and bustle of the Flood or the slow, meandering waddle of the Universe forum? Are you more likely to post once then check back in a day or to post then mash F5 until you get a response?

Personally, I prefer the slower forums on this website, partially because I feel less like a random face in a crowd and more like an actual person. Besides, people are generally more polite in slower forums, but perhaps that is just my perception.

Reach for Halo!

I prefer a forum that is not discussing the speed of the forum.

Butter my ass, turn around, spread open my butt cheeks, and say "Right here mutha-blam!-a!!"

I want it to be faster paced discussion but slower paced thread creation.

*Goes back to Universe Forum where they are nicer*

Haha, just kidding. I know this isn't the most exciting thread ever made, but it'll still be better than when we get an influx of "newbies" after Bungie announces Destiny.

Cammalamm is the best.

I like it slow enough so that good posts don't drown and fast enough that there is something new to comment on when i check in every once in a while.

So no "News" forum for you.

Somewhere in between. Fast enough so that there are new posts and discussions to read every so often, but slow enough that I can actually keep track of said posts and discussions.

I prefer it at a little faster pace than what it currently is. Usually good topics and theres always something to talk about.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

I don't like most things to be stale, but I'd also like to be able to easily locate a previous thread.
Answer: Moderate- not too fast, not too slow.

Have you seen my mind anywhere? I seem to have lost it...

x0x 0x0 0x0 0xx 000 0x0 000
x0x x0x x00 0xx 0x0 x0x 0x0

I have seen you future

Fast enough to stay active, but slow enough to keep track of.

I came for Halo, but I heard the Tru7h, fought thru Carnage, and stayed for Bungie.

No one cares how much you know, until they know how much you care.--Teddy Roosevelt

Fast enough to sustain my Bneet addiction, but slow enough that I don't OD.

Somewhere in the middle, like the Flood at its slower hours. I don't like forums so fast that refreshing every eight seconds is a necessity just in order to remain in the conversations (particularly if you're like me and prefer to participate in several conversations at once), but I go to a forum for an interactive environment, so slower ones, where a reply or two a day is the usual return on one's investment, usually aren't my cup of tea.

Key

Slow is better of the two. I don't like knowing that in the time it took my to load the top thread on page one, that spot has changed 3 to 4 times.

I don't think I've been around enough during the fast paced days to say for sure. But I think I prefer it kind of medium-slow.

This is exactly what I was going to say.

Typing in random letters = somewhat coherent username!

The Flood. Their pathetic troll attempts are hilarious.

I'm an Anarchist. I don't need a government to be a good person, but I'm glad it's here because some of you clearly do.

I like activity, but I don't like having threads disappear from the front page after five minutes.

Stupidity, when sufficiently advanced, is indistinguishable from magic

The night flood was perfect back when this place was more active, but now it's a bit slow for my tastes.
