Damn, choad master your dam good at the idea. I had the exact same idea as you man i even have 4 game types on my XBX360 with cov VS Human and it rocks when u actually get the people in your game listening..they should make you be able to be a hunter-elite-grunt (prob my fav.) jackel or even a bugger man that would be sweet ass charging at eachother from aposed bases even with the advantage the hunters have with the back swing melee option (if included).also with the fuel rod cannon they have should be included with a supply of ammo (200) shooting like the sentinel beam.(\ my personal fav /) i like to be on the loosing team so if we wi i could say how bad the other team played...

Nice idea man
Get some more in your head

The Frozen Minority - The most infamous clan borne from the Seventh Column.

Sigh, I remember everyone asking for this in Halo 2, I would be surprised if they did it this time.

Great, great, Grreat!!! Keep up the good ideas guys. BTW I....I....think I love all of you too.
Excellent points people. Dudeness made a great point too. This mode would be great for Clan Battles. I mean clans could practice w/ each other & come up w/ guards what, who gets what gun. The strategy & teamwork involved would be almost limitless.

Another objective for another map could be to have the Spartans try to activate a light/plasma bridge then cross it via warthogs. The Elites would spawn on/near the bridge, & have access to turrets, a banshee, Wraiths, & a few Spectres. The activation button would not be easy to reach however, as it would on top of a series ramps & catwalks. Once across the bridge there would be another button that the Spartans would want to press. Once the button is pressed a rescue beacon would be set off & a bomb would then be available. The Elites would then spawn in various halls that lead to a main generator room. The Elites would be there awaiting the Spartans to arrive in there Warthogs. Once the Spartans arrive at the main gate/doorway they would then enter it. The Elites could choose to wait along the dim halls inside, or man the turrets & try to keep the Spartans from even entering. (Surprise/stealth attacks from inside, or man the turrets & hit the spartans head on outside) Once inside the spartans could choose two paths. Head towards a weapon cache filled w/ nades, Shotties & Dual Weapons(for close quarter corridor shootouts). Or they could take the hallway that leads to a elevator which goes to the generator room(much quicker if your running out of time, however you'll be less equiped if you do.) (The elites can only guard the door to this weapon cache. They would not be able to enter it.)
So the Elites again have two choices too. Do they stay crouched in the halls & attempt to guard the Generator, or do they try to keep the Spartans from advancing to the weapon cache? Once the Spartans reach the Generator they would then have to blow it up w/ the bomb they grabbed when they crossed the bridge. To blow up the Generator, the Spartan w/ the bomb would have to approach it & then Hold X. The bomb would have to be inside of it for 45 secs or 1 minute. The Elites however could Hold X to remove the bomb (not carry it around).
So you could imagine the MAYHEM that would then take place, w/ both teams trying to place & remove the bomb. (Almost like Hot Potato kinda lol).

Anybody else want to come up w/ some map or even objective ideas for fun? I try to limit the objectives to 3 for each map.

Start reading from the very first post. It appears that you read my last post & jumped to a quick judgement. It's in no way like CS. You respawn & you don't buy weapons.
But thanks for the negative post I appreciate it, thanks<sarcasm

Sorry to play the skeptic, but people keep in mind that this is Halo we are talking about. Don't get to carried away. For example I don't think being able to play as different classes, like Hunters and Drones would be very "Halo-ish" for lack of a better term. It would be very unbalanced, so if it were up to me I would say stick with the elites and spartans ideas. Another thing I would like to point out is that the maps would have a very little "replay-ability". But to counter this I suppose Bungie could incorporate multiple ways or "paths" to choose to complete the certain scenarios. For example having a choice to either attack head on or to sneak around back. But yah with much thinking and testing, which Bungie tends to do, I think that this is a possibility.

This should get added to the H3 ideas thread Sticky. This sounds so cool it makes wanna play something like this.

How about this idea
----------------------------------
2 Pelicans with 8 spartans in each gets shot down from Covenant attack. One crash lands in the middle of a city similar to Old Mombasa, While the other crash lands in the Outskirts of it next to an armory. The pelican in the middle of the city is immediately under attack by Jackal snipers and a few dozen elites. You have to fight them off and then fight your way through the town. (Set-up like The level OutSkirts on Halo 2)
The Pelican on the Outskirts grabs long range weapons and helps out the other Spartans as the gain access through the city, but soon they are under attack too.
-------------------------------
Maybe in this Team Objective Gametype, You could just have a group of just one agaisnt AI opponents kinda like Campiagn but w/ up to like 16 players. The one mentioned above would be designed for Spartans.

Yeah so it would be a normal kind of game with a good objective, I like the idea.

Also you should have a nuclear silo in the base haha.

I love this idea I must admit though I agree with Drewsuf. Bungie seems to like games that have more variants.

Personally, some changes I'd like to see:

--Tactical Phantoms: Instead of everyone being permanently ghosted. A d-pad button push... or heck, any sort of mechanic, is used to turn Phantom on. It drains the shields or has it's own sheild meter so you have to choose the best time to turn it on for maximum effect.

--Kill the King!: A team based juggernaut variant. There's one guy on the enemy team that has a nav point on him. He's the only guy you get a point for killing. Unfortunately, there's a guy on your team that also has a crown. Protect him at all costs to keep the enemy from scoring. Can be played in rounds. Or the crown automatically moves on to another player at random on the King's death.

--Dodgeball: An impenetrable forcefield splits a normal map down the middle so that you can't walk over to the other side, only shoot. (We used to play this game in Halo 1 on Battle Creek, capture the flag [to keep you spawning on your own side], limited lives, infinite grenades or sniper rifles, and you weren't allowed to cross the creek.

--Good ol' fashioned BASH. Ie. Spawning without weapons! (We played this with plasma pistols in Halo 1 but you weren't allowed to shoot them)

Best... Idea... Ever... I love the idea of blending MP with Campaign, it's the best of both worlds. Good thinking I completely agree with you. Halo 3 needs to introduce a more tatical and strategy side to it's already fast-paced shoot-em up. With this gametype it would definately attract more fans and keep the same ones. AWESOME IDEA. Although I'm not sure if it would be entirely possible, but I guess with the new 360 it could be easilly possible.

EDIT: oh about the cutscene idea: I think it would pretty cool, it would "involve" the player more i think.

Doing so would remove the need for players to have more than average skill at the game. By working solely on strategy, it relies more on luck of being near big weapons and being in advantagous spots than having a talented player beat less talented players.

I think its a bad idea, personally. Have you ever played BTB? The host is so terribly inconsistant, so having 16 people in a game to begin with would be redic, but having a massive map would make it that much worse.

Keep campaign and multiplayer seperated, concentrate on making the game GOOD rather than FLASHY. And having these "big battles" is pretty flashy... too bad its not good for the game.

u ( SOLDER Lima) only said that cuz u jealous that this idea is raw as hell keep up the good work man and if bungie is interrested in makin a EVEN BETTER game then they should intergrade your idea in H3 and keep up the good work

I like the idea....maybe there can be squadren(cant spell) leader to appoint tasks...in which areas of bases to infiltrate....so that when on side attacks u can cordinate ur objectives maybe even complete one objective right after another....bcuz u" already took over the 2nd base that needs the armed bombed from the first base.....to blow up the wall to complete the final mission or something u know what I mean?

Again. Thanks for the support. As to this Gametype having a max # of players of 16. Well, that would be up to Bungie. I posted earlier that 8-12 players would work just fine, but Bungie would have to figure it out as they would be the ones playtesting the Gametype.

I agree w/ most of you that it should stay Spartans vs Elites. Playing as grunts & Hunters would become hectic, & would not be very balanced. Halo isn't a classed based game so the idea of playing as a grunt IS funny, it's just not very realistic, meaning it's more & likely not going to happen.

Anyways, keep posting people. The more people the bigger the voice.

Don’t get mad if I flame you because you cannot spell, or because my three year old has better grammar and etiquette than you.

Good idea, but I dont see the point in making it Spartans vs elites, just stick with the Red Vs Blue theme that is the now standard.

Keep the games at 10 mins or less also, with faster spawning. Anything longer you will just have quitters.
