Subject: Maybe the Halos dont even work anymore?

JUST A THEORY and a late night one at that. Maybe the story will come to a dramatic climax in the middle where the Halos are just about to be activated and there is no way to stop them and they just dont work for some reason, they're very old and at the end of the Halo 2 game when you just deactivate the sequence to stop Halo from fireing, the litle ball shot from Halo just sorta evaporates, maybe you DIDN'T actually stop it and they just simply dont work anymore, its VERY unlikley, but it would be an ironic twist. Its like a Chevy Nova; ya they went like hell when they were new, but most of em just dont seem to wanna start now

Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts, absolutely.

I have actually thought of that too, but unless Bungie wants to be hated upon by gamers around the world for a crappy ending like Halo 2 again, then they should definitely avoid that.

What if the plasma/energy ball did work and the activation sequence just takes time to communicate with the other Halos and the Ark is broken

If the rings were broken then Gamers would Kill Bungie

Quote from Tangent, "They are ready to fire on demand."

I would expect the moniters to keep the Halos in shape. What else would they do for thousands of years?

I think your theories are BS. Although your free to think what you want, I personally think most people are taking it too far. The plot could just be very regular and predictable; not some "Da Vinci Code".

I got his sarcasm...one person has to implement sarcasm and then you get a pile of terrorist chipmunks crashing your party, not fun at all..

Halo 2's storyline was that of a bridge. To bridge two games together, making Halo 2 a bridging game.

OH CRAP I JUST RE READ THAT WTF!!!

if you read the "Da Vinci Code" last (out of all the Dan Brown books), then you probably could have predicted the outcome by about halfway through the book. the plotlines are all basically the same in his books.

anyways, i would get pissed if bungie did that...but i would also laugh.
