Personally, I think it should be, but, then again, I don't know what the general public thinks about this.

Discuss.

Please don't flame me. If you have something to say, say it nicely and in a mature matter.

...And so the hero crawled through the fissure on the surface of Tyr. There, the lone Dwarf stared into the cold, dark eyes of Soulblighter...The fiend hefted his blade over his shoulder as a flock of raven took upon his form...

I guess only in Multiplayer cuz it worked fine as a mod in Halo Custom Edition.

only if the maps were big enough.... It would be kinda pointless flying around in a map the size of coag even though coag is huge....

they would have to make the maps 4-5 times larger.

Yeah, they would need to make the maps bigger. But bigger is better when you have a lot of people, guns, and vehicles, right?

they need a map for like 500 people like a scenario paintball game, but with bullets, vehicles , and blood, and dead people with pelicans :)

in reply to spartan 2010

i agree with you there but i have yet to see a game that utilized more than 24 players in multiplayer at the same time properly. If bungie can do it then yeah it would be awesome. but if the maps can be big enough then hell yeah more power to 'em.

  • 06.16.2006 8:37 PM PDT

It would be too hard to fly, and you would not be able to shoot people with it.
so no flyable Pelican.

my opinion on this subject is a little shakey but i think it would be cool
but it depends on how big the maps are even if you make a bigger map will it be usefull? or will it just make the pilot rocket bait?

No it didn't... Those mods were terrible. Even if the map was big enough, it's still an overly huge and dominant vehicle.

For Multiplayer: I think there should be a giant map, with the same(ish) enviroments as "The Siolent Cartographer". With two underground bases. About 12 players on a team at most.

For single player: I would like to see one level where you can fly(Or gun from) a pelican almost the entire time. Kindof like the being of a few levels in the New Ghost Recon.

NO!!!! Leave the flying to the pilots. This is a FPS, not Flight Simulator 2007. If the Pelican becomes flyable it will ruin the game. You're meant to fight with a gun, not fly away in a Pelican. What is wrong with people?

Yes it should be but there should be some strategic element involved
such as needing two pilots to steer it or something alond these lines.

I agree, it could turn into rocket bait, but look at the tanks and the Spectre. They are armored like hell, and it takes 2-3 rockets to destroy them. Bungie COULD (not saying they will) make them tougher, or take out the lock-on feature on the rocket launcher. Since I personally love the lock-on feature, I will stick with my first suggestion. But they very well could make the Pelican's armor the same as the Banshee's armor, which is little to none when it comes to rockets.

You did make a good point though.
