My future is certain, I will one day fly away. All because I am saved from the penalty of sin. I know he lives.

I don't even care if there's a payoff anymore. It's been so long that I'm no longer interested in this "Destiny" project anymore.

Were you hear Bungie Day?

I wasn't. What happened. I read through a really long thread from that day, but didn't find anything fruitfull. Please let me know what I missed.

And now O.T.:

I don't think that the phrase would hold up in any court. It doesn't emply who will be paid, or what will be paid. The big payout could be a 5 gallon bucket full of fruit-roll-ups.

Indeed. I haven't had XBL for a long time, but I still come on her everyday.

That is an older title. I believe that it pertained to the Vidmaster achievements, which, when unlocked, also unlocked Recon armor.

I thought it was part of the countdown fiasco, which was hilarious by the way.

If a woman can sue McDonalds because their coffee is hot... And I would love a 5 gallon bucket of fruit-roll-ups.

Make Bungie.net More Enjoyable: Read & Follow

My understanding was that the "payoff" had referred to Halo 3: ODST.

Back when Bungie led a mini-ARG here on the site to promote ODST (not sure if it had been renamed from "Halo 3: Recon" at this point), there was an image of the Superintendent with cryptic messages in different languages, such as Sanskrit. When Microsoft shut down the planned announcement date that Bungie had led us all up to, the Bungie.net homepage featured a letter from Harold Ryan (president) that explained to us the situation about Microsoft's last-minute dictum.

After that, an updated version of the same image of the Superintendent that I mentioned above surfaced and featured the words "There will be a payoff... it won't be a letter" in the least visible parts of the image. The contextual suggestion was that we would have to wait a little longer for ODST announcements (actually, it might have been the trailer) - and that we wouldn't be waiting around all for just another disappointing "letter".

So, if my memory is correct, we have already received the "payoff". Someone please correct me if portions of my account are false or incomplete. But that is not to say there will not be another "payoff" with Destiny, since this is a much longer wait after all.

Obviously. I thought it rather obvious that I wasn't serious about this. Why would I sue Bungie? Their games are too much fun to delay with such trivialities.

I stand corrected, I guess my memory isn't what it use to be.
