In the games it appears to be silver and yet, on the models and figures, it appears to be gold. Why is this?

We are all going to get banned aren't we?

I think it is more of a steel/Grey color.

In memory of those fallen in the defense of Earth and her colonies.

Remember, before he become the Arbiter he was a shipmaster. And they wear gold armour.

It's silver in the game because he isn't Thel anymore, but the Arbiter.

Is it the same design as the Arbiter's armour? Or is it something different altogether.

I don't have a figure you see, I'm going off canon.

If good looks could kill, I'd be a weapon of mass destruction.

Q: Hey, what did Hitler say to the black jew?
A: Get to the back of the oven.

Silver glinted gold I'm guessing? Or perhaps vice versa?

Kind of like how the Banshee is purple but reflects green in the proper lighting?

That color is probably the result of its appearance under different types of lighting. Honestly, it looks like a dull steelish color, possibly copper if you wanted to go that far, but it's not something like gold. It's an old, ceremonial piece, so it wouldn't be something flashy like gold.

The Bungie Forums are what keeps my mind sharp and my fingers active, between writing my own movie scripts, drawing, and studying industrial design. At the moment I'm working on miniatures for a short movie that I'll hopefully be able to film once I've saved up for a camera... That's me, with the mug, trying to have a conversation with Konoko.

Just like with Chiefs Mjolnir (which can be both blue and orange), it depends on the lighting. In regular daylight however, it should be grey with a hint of gold in the highlights (according to Halo 3's awesome lighting engine).

Cortana: The message just repeats. "Regret, Regret, Regret."
Miranda: Any idea what it means?
Sgt. Johnson: Dear Humanity... we regret being alien bastards. We regret coming to Earth. And we most definitely regret that the Corps just blew up our raggedy-ass fleet!
Marines: Hoo-rah!

When is the Chief's armor blue or orange? I'd like to see a screen of that.

I've never seen the Chief's armor outright blue or orange, but there are certain parts of The Storm where the Chief's armor is tinged blue under certain lighting conditions. More so in the face of explosions. There's a slight brownish/orange (would really say more along the lines of brownish) tinge to his armor in the Cortana level as well in some areas.
