After looking at all these threads of complete crap basically apart from the originals, i decided that we will all be dissapointed by the things we want or dont want being or not being in the game.
STOP spamming the forum too, please ban these people that continuously decide to spam like hahahdeutsch and bumhitman and elementleaf or whatever his name is.
But back to topic, who agrees that we will either have to be really thrilled with Halo 3 or really dissappointed. Maybe average gamers wont mind.

The hype has only begun. The hype for Halo 2 did raise my expectations too high. Multiplayer was awesome, but I am sure Halo 3 will have a better campaign than 2. Bungie has been good about not hyping Halo 3.

I am a bit worried about people over hyping Halo 3. Hype is the reason why there is a H2suck.com.

This thread is a perfect example of how every question in history has been asked in this forum.

Are you saying I spam?! On another topic, we will probably be hyped to the point that there will be a eight-mile line for it at your local mall.

It probably will rock, but the reason Halo 2's campaign sucked as much as it did was because people were expecting more. I think someone should post a full coverage of what has happened so far in the halo universe. Cleary and well layed out.

Right now there isn´t that much hype at all, Halo 3 has to prove first that it will rock as much as Halo 1 did back then...

Yes, there is a lot of hype. Although Bungie did not make the error (if you can call it that) they did with two. They didn't show any gameplay, or anything like that. The only thing we can truly look toward, is the graphics, Cheif, Cortana, Gravemind, big floaty things what kicks our asses and a huge artifact.

So we know now that the graphics are the best ever on a basic unfinished map! This is hype, now i suppose some of us expect that when we run into a wall our armor gets scratched and our visor will get scratches? Maybe not but i hope these new graphics make it clearer to people where to aim instead of shouting "omg i swear i got him in the head, now wai! he cheats everyone send feedback on namehere" Because the pixel count is greater meaning we have better chance of defining where the head is :-)

Hype can either make or kill a game.
Hype made Halo:CE.
Hype killed Halo 2.
-Made Bungie rush the game (11 months anyone.)
-Bungie did not end the Trilogy because of a lack of time (also hardware.)
-People expected better than Halo:CE for Campain. (Reviews.)
-ect...

If Bungie ended the trilogy in Halo 2 it wouldn't be much of a trilogy, I think.

I guess :-)
For Halo 2 i was luckily sick enough not to go to school, so i sat in bed playing halo 2 all day for 2 years (obviously not all the time). Now this time, i doubt i'll be ill so i have pre-order it the first day its available for pre-order. I hope they dont under estimate how many people want it. About 7million i'd say.

We didn't know that Halo was going to be a trilogy until the end of Halo 2. Bungie relised that they spent too much time making demos for E3 and not enough time on the game (which they made in 11 months!) Bungie planned to end the story with Halo2. They stated this in the LE DVD. Right out of there mouths: "Then Master Chief would return to earth to finish the fight."

I guess multiplayer makes up for campaign. Just think halo 3 multiplayer, oops thats hype right there. Will they make another trailer but in game action?

Actually, most of the members there aren't too bad anymore, instead of posting how H2 sucks, they're mostly posting about how Halo 3 would be better...of course, there still are a couple if idiots, like Master Blaster, who are just claiming Halo 3 will suck because it has good graphics, which he appears to use as proof for them not actually creating the game yet.

Possibly so, but don't expect one too soon. It'll probably be a couple of months, at least.

I thought so too.
The levels (campaign), are they expected to be bigger and more of them, or about 9-15 and about same length? Also the maps, there must be more dont you think?

  • 06.17.2006 5:02 AM PDT

Quick as a razor, sharp as a bullet.

hmmm...i thought h2's campaign was better as it was more accessible, but i was only young at the time.
hopefully, h3 will live up to the hype, and the hype also cannot be helped because of how good the last 2 games were.

well if you overhype it then isn't it your own fault not bungie's?

although i do hope they do bring the graphical promices and gameplay aspects to the table
