4-shot

ok for some reason im full of ideas right now and as we all kno theres most likely gonna be some h2 maps that were popular enough to be remodelled for h3 so i just thought a few of my fav maps and said i knew they were trying to go somewhere in halo 2 with the interactive enviornments with h2 when i saw how maps like zanzibar, terminal, and even colossus worked but they really didnt do much with the interactivity of maps they just tapped on it anyway heres a few ideas i had to add on to that btw these maps are remodelled old ones
1. Midship- add plasma barrier windows on certain sides of the map frefferably not the bases maybe near car or pink that can take only so much damage. once that threshold is reached they temporarily power down and anyone near them would be sucked into the deep vacuum of space by the depressuirzation of the ship. the breach time until it powered back up would depend on how many of those explosive batteries are left on the map if all are gone it should take the same amount of time for a double magnum dual wield to reload x2 and if none are gone maybe the amount of time for a dual smg reload.
2. Lockout- since this map supposed to be cold and abandoned maybe the glass could be really strong ice instead the cover the center piece still indestructible but just a neat feature and maybe for the dropdown hatches some maybe not all could be cover by a sheet of thin ice or packed snow that would be destructable so u could drop down however if that doesnt seem very appealing theres always the option of having chunks of ice on high areas of the map that could fall and crush an enemy like the stalactites on waterworks except more numerous.
3. Ivory Tower- ok does everyone kno where the tree is between the top snipe area, the base of the tree is on mid snipe and it almost extends to the roof well remove that tree add a grav lift like the one on colossus in that spot that would launch a player up to the roof. now the outside of the map is experiencing a secere storm with heavy rain and lightning and maybe the roof has some kind of stone memorial on top just for looks but the roofs layout would be rather flat other than that so it looks like a tempting camping or hiding spot maybe even put a power weapon up there to further force players to go there but the danger is that there are completely random bolts of lightning striking the top and if you are caught by 1 u are dropped dead on the spot also maybe a drain blockage mechanism a player could activate that would stop the drainage of the water down near sword area so that the water level down there would rise only to a certain point maybe a little more than knee deep that would slow a players movements down while wading in it.
Ok those are just a few ideas tell me wat u guys think and if u have any further ideas jus say em btw ive got more but im tired of typing lolzx

I think we should have truly destructable environments in Halo 3. (To a point of course, being able to destroy a whole level would be stupid) But have WAY more than the 5 or so destructable props in Halo 2. There was barely anything if you don't count cars and plasma core. All I can think of was the ledges on the turret platforms in Zanzibar and the benchs in Ivory Tower.

When I hear interactive environments, I dont think of exploding cores and gravity lifts. I think of Zanzibar as the most interactive. Certain parts of the walls are programmed to be destroyed, windows can be closed, and there are the couple of gates that can be opened. Bungie needs to take this to extreme. Gates should be able to reclosed, reopened, and destroyed. Those flat objects should be easily moved to create barriers, traps and hidden sniper spots. They just could even have a computer in the base that would force a vehicle to spawn. Here is another example in an existing map that would increase gameplay.

Coag - A computer in the center of the base that would open/close the top of the base. This would be awesome since it would stop Banshees from being able to drop inside. Also, it would allow your own team to drop in only when you wanted them to. This could be destructible.
A computer in the bottom of the base that you could decide what vehicle would spawn, whether you wanted a banshee, ghost, etc. The spawn time would be the same, you would just get to pick which one would spawn. Also destructible.

Sounds too much like that game "Tribes" Plus everyone would be getting tanks and banshees. Not balanced at all.. I like the idea of the top thogh, cept it shold be destroyable, leaving the door in peices inside the base.

My ideas for like zanzibar are, being able to destroy that bridge on the sea wall, being able to destroy the big fan, making the power in the base go off, assuming its a power generator. Maybe change the time of day in the options. Be able to blow up the various pillars to take out cover points, like between the windows inside the base. Be able to destroy the mini wall by the sniper tower. Make the other tower near the bridge of the sea wall colapse a little bit. etc...

I would like to be able to destroy strategic points like bridges, certain teleporters, entrances to bases and vehicle pathways. Maybe on a probable "zanzibar 2" have a few power generators and if you destroy all of them the wheel stops and lights in base go off.
