the hud Dissapearing is to provide atmosphere, and we don't want too many cut scenes, lets remember its a game not a movie. I love the story too but I would prefer if the game had more levels than more cutscenes.

I haft to agree this is a dumb idea. It has been like this in both HALO:CE and HALO 2.

actually your the dumb one. If you really played halo2 enough you would know how much each enemie can do to you at the first..what.. 3 seconds of a level..when there is like no enemies (Except.. I coulda been your daddy)

Indeed. When it does happen it is allways (in my experience) DIRECTLY after a full cutscene, so it gives the impression of the game continuing for the character from the cutscene, by gradually removing the cutscene effect, making for a smoother, generally more enjoyable experience.

And please, point to a place in either H1, or H2 where you have enemies around immidiatly during that effect (except on Two Betrayals, when you can duck behind the sheild before the sentinals start firing)
