Personally I think they should be given another chance. Who knows, maybe they decided to stop being a cheating -blam!-. then if the go and cheat in halo 3, ban em.

Thats damn right they should if you cheat once u'll do it a 2nd time

  • 06.17.2006 9:19 AM PDT

Meh, I think everyone should have a fresh start, maybe ppl have learned and maybe they haven't, either way there will be a better more efficiant way of getting rid of cheaters, if they cheat (again) they'll get bannded again and that will be that. That said America is based on the idea of second chances isn't it?

i am adding all of you to the LIST.

maybe bungie should have them banned from playig halo2 on the PC as well? and future games wont allow these guys to play. and maybe jsut ban these guys from playing forza2 and Gears of War. hell, they shouldnt be allowed on xbl and we should send poice to arrest them and put them in jail for 2-20.

its a -blam!- game. you girls would run any company you owned into the ground. idiots.

So you run a company.

An employee of yours raids the company bank fund and runs off with some money, and you sack him. The company changes, for example, merges with another or is taken over. Do you let him back in, even though you know he raided the company funds?

Think before you post. If the cheaters are banned from the start, it will be better for the legitiamte players.

Screw it, if you got banned then you ought to be forced to pay another $50 for the priviledge of playing.

You are a moron. Running a company into the ground by protecting the game experiance for the 95% of people who play correctly? Yeah, that makes ALOT of sense. Idiot.

Yes, their ban should carry over. A permaban is PERMANANT, not until the next game is released.

You seem to be forgetting that most people get banned from LIVE and not from the game itself.

If someone commits an offense that goes against the Live contract, they get banned from the service. Bungie doesn't have anything to do with that. And as such, it also stretches not only between one game and another, but ALL games you play on Live. In fact, no... it just prevents you from going on Live. So... yeah, that's... yes.

PLEASE UNDAN ME!!!

And so this post couldn't be taken as spam, the ban should be carried over, unless technical reasons make it impossible to do so.

I said no for one reason. First of all it is a new game. This is not Halo 2 anymore. Of course, if they got banned altogether from the Live service, then that is a different story.

  • 06.17.2006 12:24 PM PDT

It's just a game folks.

Banned in banned. Would they rather Bungie take each and everyone of them to court for copyright infrigement? They broke the rules. They don't deserve another chance. They can get another chance by buying a new account. Read the LIve agreements and Halo 2 agreements. Most modders, cheaters, etc. are lucky that Bungie and/or MSFT did not sic their lawyers on them. Plain and simple. There should be no discussion about this. If you think there should be, again; read the Halo 2 and Live User agreements. That is the entity to end all discussions.

Not only is it a different game, but a different SYSTEM. I think it would be absurd to move Halo 2 bans over to Halo 3. You might as well ban them from ALL XBL games from here on out.
