To say that no solid information about Bungie's new game is fair, I suppose, but you must admit, you are not the first to post a pessimistic thread on the matter. Contrary to what you seem to believe, pessimistic undertones have been abundant for quite some time now.
Seeing as how we know little to nothing about their upcoming game, a great deal of speculation, from what I've observed, has been rather negative. A great number of people have developed a very profound relationship with the Halo series over the years and for Bungie to toss that aside and begin work on another project definitely shocked everyone immensely.
That initial shock after hearing such a thing is similar to that feeling you get when two people are in a relationship for a decent period of time and you log on to Facebook one day to see that so and so has gone from 'being in a relationship' to 'single'. It's quite shocking indeed and your outlook toward both of those people (or the situation, rather) for quite some time, as a pessimist, might be, well, negative.
But I say we look past the negative aspects of all of this and examine the positive. That is not to say that we should deny all possibilities of their new game being a complete disaster but we should simply realize that Bungie managed to develop one of the most, if not the most remarkable video games in the world. Who are we to say that they cannot do such a thing again?
