Subject: How can one get popular on forums?

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I don't get why people get annoyed by someone who is active on the forums.

I really don't understand it as long as it is not a spammer or a troll.
Generally if you see a single person responding to several statements with the same argument, then it gets annoying. Most people only want the excuse once, and if they care enough, they'll read it earlier in the thread.

In a conversation, usually people talk more than once or respond to other people. I see people make multiple posts all the time in threads back and forth. I don't care if I see someone chat in a lot of threads, it really doesn't bother me.

Everyone here is just text, what does it matter if someone types a title more than someone else?

What does bother me though is how annoying people get about being annoyed by active forum users. People complain about "waa you are responding too much" then they complain "waa the community forum is dead and there is nothing to talk about".

Like it or not, it is these active people that keep the forum alive, keep the conversations going, and keep up relevancy.

Post too much.
Posting too much makes you popular?
Not necessarily popular. But known.
Post too much and you'll become recognised. With recognition comes popularity. No doubt about it.

That's what I was getting at. Posting too much tends to annoy people.

I agree with Ken. Now that I'm unbanned again, I know I'm going to post more. I've been really stressed this past week and the whole summer with personal problems in life and just posting here in The Community keeps my mind away from all the stress and anger. It's kind of a safe haven here.

That doesn't make any sense at all. You want to block someone just because they are actively using a forum in a way it was designed to be used.

It makes perfect sense. If I find someone annoying to me, I'm going to block them. What's so difficult to understand?

It's simple.

What a hipster.

Truthfully:

In "Factions threads" just talk about how amazing Dead Orbit is. Not saying its not, Dead Orbit for life.

In "Do You Want To Be a Mod Threads" answer No, along with a reason of how you like the freedom of being a normal member (this will make you seem edgy and cool).

In "Are There Well Known People Threads" just answer yes to being well known, and give a sarcastic reason showing how you don't care.

These three threads seem to pop up fairly often, so you should be fine with repeating your answers over again.

Other than that just make inside jokes that 75% of the Community won't understand and you're good to go.

It's not about how much you post, it's about what you post.

If you post interesting or well said things a lot, no one will bother you about how much you post. If you post the same thing over and over while not acknowledging the arguments against you that have been made repeatedly, then people will get annoyed.

It's not active people that are annoying, it's repetitive ones.
