Should the bans assessed to people for cheating in Halo 2 be carried over to Halo 3, thus not letting Halo 2 cheaters play Halo 3 on Live?

i think since bungie is implimiting a new live game system which has nothing to do with halo 2 i think u should be scott free cuz its like getting banned on madden or something and then nba live banning u..... kinda unfair!

You say tomato; I say potato.

no.
as far as i know, cheaters were banned from halo 2 matchmaking. halo 3 is a different game thus they havent been banned, but im sure they will be kept on a short leash

Countered.

If you cheat once, it's supposed to be your first and last offense. People simply keep on using 2 Month free cards and so it defeats the purpose of banning in the first place.

If they want back into Live with Halo 3, they can waltz on down to the store and buy a new Live card, just like everyone else who wants to play.

I say the bans should be carried over. There isn't any real punishment for cheating yet, this would change that.

countered back at ya !!

xbox does NOT make 2 month cards anymore and they CANT ban u from a game which u have never played before. lmao!

and to their whole "2month problem" why dont they just ban all accounts made on their credit card?!?!?!?!
and u say " well the 360 online dont require a credit card" and i Counter with... its virtually mod-proof, and they could just ban all accounts that access halo 2 online on that hardrive.

i have friends who modded and where banned for a long time and just got back... i know they wont do it gain.

if bungie continues to ban like thay are doing now (great job) the modding will decrease. as it has been.

think before u respond

Actually, no one has gotten modified content to run on an Xbox 360 yet. The firmware hack doesnt do this, so dont bother saying that, it allows straight copies, they have found no other way to attack the security of the system and play hacked content. Also, yes they can find ways to use game saves on live, but they cant contain hacks or mods to them anyways, the 360 would ignore them if it did. They wont cheat on Halo 3, they will probably try to glitch. Anyways, yes they should be banned, however, most of the accounts are 2 month trial accounts, and they should really make new accounts on Xbox 360 anyways.
