I'm pretty sure that I read somewhere that the flood can't take over grunts, jackals, or some other characters. I'm not sure where I read it or why they can't but if someone could verify this for me and explain why, that would be great.

I've heard that the carrier forms might be grunts. Look at their legs.

no, the flood can take over grunts and jackels. they're the carrier flood form. the flood however can't take over hunters due to their biostructure.

Actually, they can. Originally in Halo 2, Bungie had plans to release the "Flood Juggernaut" as an enemy. This "Flood Juggernaut" was the Flood form of a Covenant Hunter. Bungie removed the enemy from the game at the very last minute, the only way to find them in the game now would be to use a mod chip.

i never heard about that. i thought that they couldn't control hunters because they're actually just a giant colony of worms working together to fill up a suit of armor. maybe the juggernaut was the brute.

Picture.

It looks almost too big to be a Brute.

We never got any confirmatation as to what the Juggernaut was.

It wasn't a Hunter, however. My theory is that it's a chimera of several combat forms of multiple species.

looking at that picture reminded me of another character that got cut from the game. there's this large 4 armed thing called the stalker that resembles the juggernaut's structure, maybe that was it.

It also looks too big to be a Hunter. Plus, the build of the Juggernaut is like nothing we've seen before.

Some guy made a post a while back with a vid link where he fought one. I think it's actually one of those things that consumed Keyes in halo 1. Also, carrier forms are just damaged combat forms that the flood has recycled to make more infection forms. It tells you in the players guide ^_^
