OFFICIAL HALO 3 MULTIPLAYER WISHLIST... Post the multiplayer ideas here:
Since Halo 3 will be the last game to THIS story the Arc, the multiplayer aspect of the game should include most of the characters of the game and bots. The multiplayer should include Spartans, ODSTs, Elites, Brutes, Grunts, Jackals, and Hunters. The characters should play like this:
Spartans, ODSTs, Elites, and Brutes should have the ability to peak around corners.
Spartans: Mostly unchanged (Play the same as Halo 1 and Halo 2), but should have a "limited" ability to sprint, depending on a stamina meter, that goes down as you sprint.
ODSTs: Have the same health as a normal Sparan, but cannot recharge. However, ODSTs should be able to pick up health packs to regain health. Speed of running should be 75% of a Spartan or Elite. They should have as much defense as a Spartan. Can pick up all weapons, except the energy sword and can "deactivate" mines.
Elites: Mostly unchanged (Play the same as Halo1 and Halo 2), but should have a "limited" ability to dive (like if you shoot a grenade, the elite should be able to dive and avoid some grenade damage), depending on a stamina meter, that goes down as you dive.
Brutes: Should have a "health" meter 1.5 times the meter of Elites and
Spartans. The Brutes should have more defensive power, but cannot recharge. They need to pick up health packs (like in Halo 1) to increase their health. Besides life and defense, the Brutes should play like the Elites and Humans, but should have a feature, in which they can put away their weapon and charge at an enemy, killing the enemy in two hits. This ability should be limited to a stamina meter which increases slower than the stamina meter of the Elites and the Spartans.
Grunts: Should have half the life of an Elite or Spartan. Have the ability to heal by picking up health packs. Low defense. Running speed 50% of a Spartan or Elite. Can set up mines and turrets and pick up a limited array of weapons. The Grunts should be able to set up mines (should have 3 max carrying capacity and can pick up mines at spawn points) and deactivate mines. They should also be able to "upack" turrets and then set them up at different places.
Jackals: Should have the same health system as Grunts. Running speed 50% of a Spartan or Elite. Should have the ability to snipe better than others. They should not be able to carry more than 6 shots of sniper bullets. Their reticle for the sniper should be slightly larger than the normal one, making it easier for Jackals to hit targets. They should be able to pick up a limited array of weapons.
Hunters: Should have three times the health of a normal Spartan and high defensive capability. Running speed 50% of a Spartan or Elite. Cannot recharge or heal health. Cannot pick up weapons. Armed with a fuel rod and melee weapon the Hunters can be killed easily by shooting at their "unarmoured" spots.
The multiplayer should more importantly have "smart" bots; bots that become harder, as you grow your skills. For instance, Bungie can send regular updates such as 'Level 10 - 20 bot update' through Xbox Live or OXM discs.
We should be able to play with bots in system link and XBL custom matches.
