In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I came for Halo, but I heard the Tru7h, fought thru Carnage, and stayed for Bungie.

Well, if you want to get really technical, they do have an official twitter page for BungieUR that I happen to find the other day. If you look at the bottom of that linked page, you'll see a bunch of Bungie Employees that are following that page.

The home-link at the top also links to the "Bungie Beta Test (User Research)" page as well. I assume It's locked to anyone that hasn't been specifically invited to the testing they're doing.

Conspiracy confirmed and revealed.

Fixed for proper Bungie speak.
OT: Now we must do our duty as Bungie fanatics and stalk this twitter account relentlessly.

You imply a level of control over Halo: Reach matchmaking that we no longer have. Or, in your vernacular, it isn't our shiznit anymore.

Have you ever watched Lost? That's pretty much what the whole series was based on.

Is a public New Hawtness Beta practical, or even possible? Video games have public Beta's for gameplay tweaking and finding bugs that require a lot of feedback and man-hours. It's a lot easier to find bugs on websites and I think the Bungie Webteam knows enough about what they're doing that they don't need a ton of feedback. Also, I've never heard of a website releasing a Beta version, so this might be a stupid idea.

I went to see who owned the Domain name and this is what I found.

Interestingly though, at the bottom it says this

Registry Status: clientDeleteProhibited
Registry Status: clientRenewProhibited
Registry Status: clientTransferProhibited
Registry Status: clientUpdateProhibited

And these are the dates

I'm guessing that means we can't do anything to that site but they can. Don't know why but I'm sure the User Research idea has something to do with it.

Just thought y'all would like to see that!!

Standard operating procedure for Bungie.

OT: This reeks of familiarity, but I can't put my finger on it. Its like a half remembered dream, coupled with a vague sense of deja vu.

Bungieur.net is a domain we use for sending some of our user research emails. It forwards you to the regular site rather than just give a dead domain page, but there's nothing there that isn't on bungie.net for everyone to see.

I bet Bungieur.net is just a domain they use for sending some user research emails. Ohhhhhh, Honeydew confirmed my guess. ; )

Confirmed: Bungie's next game is a board game. It is set in the domain of UR which is an electronic sci-fi world. There will be cross world jumping to places like the Dead Domain, and you will have a love interest named Page. Also, something about everyone can see you, so I think that means it's also an MMO.

  • 08.06.2012 10:57 AM PDT

MMO Board Game?
Sounds Pretty Neat.
I'd Play.

Can you talk to Acky about making it usable? Because I'd much rather use Bungieur.net rather than Bungie.net.

It's just less mainstream.
