If halo 3 on Xbox live still has the party system allow Party leader in quick options to turn on and off the fall damage. Now many will disagree but it was always fun to play around with the superjumps now you could do them in custom due to fall damage being off but in matchmaking it would be on so if you did a superjump in matchmaking on the landing you would die....solves that problem.

although i know where ure coming from the thing that annoyed me the most about the original halos fall damage was the slight pause in which u couldnt move...maybe if they did if there was fall damage but no pause...im sure all would agree it was annoying....as was health pacs

I do believe the superjump was just a glitch caused by the engine that Halo 2 runs on. So being as Bungie is using a different engine for Halo 3, chances are that the superjump will not return.

I don't think fall damage should exist. It's five hundred and forty seven years into the future. Your wearing a ton of armor, with shielding that can amplify itself and cushion your fall.

And you're augmented to be stronger and faster. Stuff like a fifteen foot fall shouldn't affect you. But falling off a cliff (like off the edge of a level) should.
