Halo: Reach is the beginning of a new age for gaming.
It proves that developers can get away with punishing their players instead of fixing their game....and yet the fanboys will still sing praises to them.
-blam!- all of you fanboys!
Do you actually beleive that Ruckus? That it's all social?
Then why do people still play competitively?
Even when the situation doesn't call for it?
Refer back to my previous thread that recently banned me. About teams of tryhards who's sole purpose is to make the other team quit the match. Then cry about people quitting on them.
Competition is in the Eye of the Beholder.
And you're a damn fool if you think people aren't trying to force you to play at a competitive level every damn time you press that matchmaking button. I don't care what playlist it is. Refer back to competitives crying about having to start and finish a game with the same exact people on both teams to feel a sense of accomplishment.
If I can't come and go as I please within any particular game, it's not casual. NOT BY A LONG SHOT!
See dedicated servers. You know those things that host like 64 players at a time and let you come and go as you please, because noone gives a -blam!- because you're just one little insignificant peice of cannon fodder.
Now look at Halo. And you're telling me that what Halo provides is casual? You're -blam!- high!
