"The rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated"

Did the UNSC have its own "Exodus" plan to escape the Covenant/Extinction?

They were losing the war for over 2 decades facing the very real possibility of extinction. One would assume they had some sort of plan, but it's never mentioned.

There's no way Nate Hawbaker's favorite hero is Alan Stuart

ALAN IS A BEAUTIFUL MAN!

Didn't seem like it. I mean, they got totally wrecked and no "Exodus" plan came up.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

I think that the bigger question is whether or not Ancient Humanity had an extinction plan...

None has ever been mentioned, but I'm sure someone at ONI would have had a plan.

-Watertribe-

Yes, the UNSC Infinity would have been used in case of near extinction.

Am I supposed to write something funny here?

In an old interview of Jason Jones he said that after fall of Reach UNSC started moving industrial assets out of Sol. Dunno if that means anything currently.

I think i read that the infinity would of been used to house humanity if earth fell.

OH SHI-

Actually, that sounds intriguing. Maybe they did...

Release the flood so that even if humanity did die, they would take the covenant with them. Maybe, just a guess.

They didn't know about the Flood until the final few months of the war... and even then, their existence was known by very few people in ONI.

At this point, the Flood had already breached containment and it has almost always been done by the Covenant anyway.

Against who? The Flood or the Forerunners?

The Forerunners. They were driven back to Charum Hakkor where they held out for half a century, they surely must have come up with something.

Quite possible. Perhaps their revenge wasn't finished or developed by the time Charum fell. Fortencho remembers his defeat as, while foreseen, surprising because the tactics the Didact used to take out his fleets.

We're gonna have to wait until Silentium to see if anything was done. I have a feeling they had something to do with the Floods evolved/mutated form when they returned. After all, who knows what effects the supposible cure had on the Flood and how it adapted to it to not end up exterminated completely.

They couldn't because they were stuck; Forthencho notes how he knew they wouldn't win against the forerunners under their circumstances. It doesn't really matter anyway since other human forms were reseeded.
