Do you remember the e3 video for halo 2, well i hope bungie shows us a level and weapons for halo 3 that actally get in to the game. When i first saw the e3 video for halo 2 i fell in love with the entire thing, the way earth looked like it wasnt having to good of a time and all the little things that the marins said when mc killed an enemy it was simply stunning and then for the real game the level suddenly changed into clean painless city some stupid marine speech and just plain a simply terrible compared to the e3 video for it. I also fell i love with the battle rifle and its single shot use. So all am saying is that i do NOT!!! want bungie to do it again i will be extreamly upset if they do.

I also think that the halo 3 trailer is not showing us everything (its in the game some in the middle if i remember rightly). remember the announcement trailer for halo 2 were you seen the mc walking along the ship and then he jumps out well that made it into the game but there was a huge difference...... and it was that the mc didnt have the bomb with him (im sure you knew this already). so i think the halo 3 video will have a bit more in it when we all finally get the game to add to the story little bit.

What do you think?.....would you mind or would u just not be botherd at all. if they shown a mindblowing gameplay trailer that you want to play and when you got the game it wasnt even in the there.

Yeah, Bungie was showing us all these cool things for Halo 2, Annoucement Trailer, E3 2003 Demo, etc. But it was all different when it released. I don't really care now though. Halo 2 is still fun and now Halo 3 is on it's way. I'm sure it's going to be way different.

I think our anger would be better vented towards microsoft, for putting bungie under harsh time regiments. Seriousley, I would have liked a better feel of "oh -blam!-, WAR on earth." Not, "oh -blam!-, a covenant ship wiht a prophet!" But it was still fun. But i think secrecy is the better pat of valor for Halo 3... And more time... If they can at least give us the feeling of coming to an ongoing battle, a real nitty gritty crusade where each side has realistic and apparent strategies and failures and what have you, I will be fullfilled. The tent, combined with the huge plasma cannon(?) being bombed by the fihgters, just the mechanics of the entire situation gave the feel of an actual friggin battle going on. With halo 2 it was just... It felt weird. Of course it was a battle in its own right but, it felt sparse, like it lacked meat. You didn't feel like you were stuck in with the marines, so to speak. You landed, and chased after a giant Cockroach (no no, i t was a cool mech, i kid). Fun as it was, I want to feel like MC is in the middle of an actual conclict where ground is being gained and lost... Perhaps it's just me, but I really didn't get that sense from Halo 2...

That part where they called-in the jet or something to bomb that huge Plasma-Launching thing.

I was so gutted that it wasn't in Halo 2, I would've bloody loved it.

I believe the jets are longswords, and that plasma launching thingy is still in Halo 2, just a non firing mini version on it, just look at the first part of the warthog battle on Outskirts.

I liked it when you walked over that little hill and Cortana says "Careful! Jackals." Or something like that. Also when a marine ran over a grunt and he says "You're gonna have to buff that out"

AND when the dropships came flying in and Brutes smashed the driver and passenger out of their seats. I was so cut that that didnt make it in.

You know what really shouldn't be done? People blindly following a hype. Bungie already stated early on that it was a demo, and that things could and would be altered later on. People should realise that as development continues things change. So next a developer, any developer, shows something from the early development stage. Say to yourself: "This looks nice, but it can still change, andI should wait till there is some news available", rather than "OMG! TIS IS GUING TO B 1N t3H GAME!"

You have to remember the H2 engine they created for the E3 show ended up being too much stress on the the poor old black box, which meant they had to retool at least everything graphicaly that you saw. As far as the rifle, one shot is fine with me.

Halo 3 (31st), ODST (14th) and Reach (4th) Mythic Conqueror. (Mythic is Solo, Legendary, All skulls on + scoring on and no deaths/saves).

Ok. Bungie realise that they screwed up with the developement of Halo 2 (and were rushed as hell with Halo 1). So they are learning from their mistakes and not doing it the same way.

The Announce Trailer for Halo 2 was pre-rendered. That sequence never played on an Xbox in real-time. Ever. It was a 'target render' if you like. An example of what Bungie hoped to produce in real-time with the final game. Of course, they couldn't.

Now, with Halo 3. The announce trailer was in real-time. It was actually being produced on Xbox 360 hardware. Everything was for real. All those effects, and ships and animations, they were all done by the 360. So already, bungie CAN do the stuff they are aiming for in real-time.

Halo 2 e3 2k3. Bungie admited they messed up majorly with this. They wanted to create a level that they could then actually use in the game. But when they did it, all they had was a demo. Everything was heavily scripted and became broken if the player went off the pre-determined path. They HAD to redesign it to make it work properly.

Now, with Halo 3 Bungie have already said that they made the announce trailer to have as little impact on development as possible. So, unlike the Halo 2 e3 2k3 demo where they took several months out of their design process to make it, I recon Halo 3 demos will be all made with stuff they have made already in the natural course of development.
