We all have friends like that. We call them "nature's entertainers", mainly because they're retarded.

Ignore these four words.

Halo is Microsofts trump card. They would never give it to the biggest competetor in the ongoing console wars.

Give up. No such thing will ever happen, unless one company gets taken over by the other. Halo will be an awesome incentive to buy an Xbox, so why the hell would they lose that advantage by making Halo for other consoles? No. Besides, the PS2 would probably explode, it's not capable of handling such games.

As far as I know... Microsoft refuses to make any games for PS2.

So odds of Halo coming out for PS2 are slim (very slim) to none.

You know im getting sick of hearing all this -blam!- about ps2 not having enough processing pwoer to handle halo graphics. Ever seen Gran Turismo graphics! Its like looking at an interactive movie! To all you people out there who thinks the ps2 sucks, you're wrong. I am not a ps2 fanboy but im just saying that all you guys (and girls) are a bunch of biased idiots.

We’ve watched while the stars burned
Out, and creation played in reverse.
The Universe freezing in half-light.
Once I thought to escape.
To end a master, step out of the
Path of collapse. Escape would make us God.
Yet I cannot help but remember one enigma,
A hybrid, elusive destroyer.
This is the one mystery I have not solved.
The only element unaccounted for.

We may be biased, but we're not idiots. No one really thought that the PS2 would explode if they made Halo for it. However, while it may have the processing power to do so, it is still far from the X-Box in that respect. And as for Gran Turismo looking like an interactive movie? Not quite.
And I'm afraid that I am going to have to diagnose you as a terminal fanboy. No one but a fanboy would get ticked off enough to post this on a forum made by a company owned by Microsoft.
I myself am a Nintendo fanboy.

PS2 can't handle Halo 2. Sorry to bust your bubble, but the specs just aren't good enough. I honestly don't know enough about the Engine that runs Halo, but if you were to ask someone more reliable (say a Bungie dev, good luck finding one to answer you though) they will tell you the same thing. Maybe someone can find this kid a back article that says so, because I thought I did. Oh wait, its on the front page under Top Stories.

Moron.

Halo is simply too much Ninja for the Playstation 2 too handle.

Gran Turismo does not look like a movie. Go buy a TV, and then a DVD.
Not, a DVD with a preview of Gran Turismo on it, it can cause you to forget that games don't look like movies.

Oh wait, just a second...

Halo is coming out for PS2. In fact, because of PS2's awesome Full Motion Video graphics engine that you've informed us of, it looks different than on Xbox. Almost like an interactive movie. Because of the amazing new graphics engine, we can notice new details. Like it was really named Gran Turismo, and Master Chief was actually a green Honda.

Go buy it now.

Would I lie to someone who called me an idiot for disagreeing with him?

Ask anyone here - I'm as unbiased as they come around here - Gran Turismo does look good -- but it doesn't do as much as you think, it's a prerendered car, on a prerendered track, Halo has to render dozens of objects at once - Gran Turismo renders 7. The Cars, and the track, and even doing that presses the limit. Also consider the amount of area covered in Gran Turismo compared to the amount of area covered in Halo. The PS2 is a great system, but it's a physical FACT that it doesn't have the processing power of the XBox or even the GameCube. Sony will(and has) admitted this themselves - it's not anything to be ashamed of - the PS2 is older than both of them, so they had time to improve. Don't get angry about it. Look at the facts, and make a fair comparison. Try comparing Warhammer 40K Fire Warrior to Halo. Try comparing DOA 2 Hardcore to DOA 3, these games are a year apart, yet look like they were developed 5 years apart. Compare GTA 3 on each system. Compare Medal of Honor:Frontline for all 3 systems. Make a fair comparison before you make a rant.

And no un gato - the PS2 could not do it. Maybe the first 3 levels, at the level of the XBox, but you would have a laggy game as it tried to stream into memory. The GameCube would be able to do the graphics better (possibly even better than the XBox) but would run into the same streaming limitations, and the disc would limit the game further.(Storage wise)
