You forgot to mention the steeper competition Reach faced. I'm not saying that Reach was low on the leaderboards because of other games, the gameplay in Reach was definitely a big part of it, but the game market it faced was possibly the bigger reason.
Not being a fanboy, just stating facts.
lol not really, the only real competetition to the halo franchise has been call of duty and both times halo 3 and reach came out, a new call of duty came out as well. Matter of fact, the first modern warfare was released Novemeber 7th, 2007, just a month and a half after halo 3. Same with black ops being released november 9th, 2010... SO in reality, both halo 3 and reach had competition, its just reach was a less popular game in the long run than halo 3 like F4c3 of d34th said
Except CoD didn't get popular until MW2.
Wow, you're fucking stupid.
I know the Halo 3 forum isn't exactly known for their outstanding generosity and kindness, but if you're going to insult me, bring up the facts about why I'm wrong/stupid. Then you'll have all the leeway in the world to call me -blam!- stupid.
EDIT: If I'm stupid due to me being wrong about CoDs' popularity, then let it be known I never even heard of CoD until MW2, and none of my friends either. I wasn't playing Halo 3 in 2007, I didn't even own an Xbox 360 until 2009. But I do know that Halo was the juggernaut at the time. So yes, it is entirely possible I'm completely wrong and I don't know what I'm talking about, because I fully do not know.
