Having a nostalgia breakdown right about now... I miss playing sandtrap, avalanche, construct, snowbound, standoff, and valhalla. Those maps were big and flat with different environments for each one. Spent so many hours playing with friends in private matches...

I just hope there will be big, memorable maps in Halo 4. It seems that 343 is switching over to more close quarters maps than large ones. There was that one blue-like map with warthogs, but it was very tight and closed. Missing the openness that the old Halo had.

That's a pretty good idea for an Invasion map. Attackers start at the bottom, defenders at the top.

Anyways, on topic, I would like to see a mixture of both CQC and an open map.

There once was an ugly barnacle. He was so ugly that everyone died.

The end.

I want a good mix, like in Halo 2and Halo 3. I hated most of Reach's maps.

心の中に弱い風が吹いています。

The open maps of Halo have always been fun to play on.

I agree. Halo's sandbox gameplay makes it great for large maps that incorporate vehicles and power weapons. As well, CQC maps work equally well, and change the gameplay style. I think back to the good old days of Halo 3's Big Team playlist. Playing on Valhalla, Sandtrap and then the smaller maps in social/team slayer. If Halo 4 has any of the positive gameplay elements of Halo 3, then I will certainly have to give it a try.

This is the way the world ends,
This is the way the world ends,
This is the way the world ends;
Not with a bang but a whimper.

I have no intention of getting Halo 4, but I've always liked well-crafted CQC maps. Think guardian.
